5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Beautiful, January 22, 2004
This review is from: Do the Best (Audio CD)
I am sort of a new fan of Jpop, but I've heard enough bands to know that Do As Infinity is definitely one of the top ones out there. I'm not too fond of the first song on the CD: Summer Days, but the rest of them are just beautiful! They have such a beautiful blend of songs and Tomiko's voice fits so well with them. My favorites are Fukai Mori (Deep Forest), Hi No Ataru Sakamichi, and Enrai. I definitely recommend this CD. Just go out and buy it! You won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars my review, November 10, 2003

I am a fan of J-pop, so naturally I like this album. But even if you don't think too highly of Japanese music, you need to hear this album, at least Tangerine Dream, Fukai Mori, and Tookumade. Those are the ones I'm most familiar with, and they are some of the best music I've heard in a long time. If you don't believe me and don't want to pay almost 50 bucks for a CD, then just try to find one of their songs, or a music video somewhere online, listen to it, and if you don't like it, it's no big deal....but I know you will like it, so it's kind of a moot point then, huh?
And although I am an anime fan, although I do play DDR as a workout routine, although I am spending my own time besides my college classes to learn Japanese, although...etc.etc.etc, I am saying this from the standpoint of a music lover, not just some weirdo who thinks Japanese pop-culture rocks (but it does!). I feel this album is absolutely worth your time and is a valued addition to any music collection, whether you speak Japanese or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Called the best for a reason, June 16, 2005
This review is from: Do the Best (Audio CD)
I'm a big fan of Do As Infinity and it's great to have all their best songs on 1 album. If your gonna start somewhere with Do As Infinity, start here. If your new to Japanese pop then Do As Infinity is a great start.
I picked up this CD with a DVD extra (which I can't find on Amazon) and it was great to have all the great songs with their equally great videos.

Tell the world music industry to publish japanese music in america. Buy Japanese music. (Even if you downloaded them anyway.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent even Without Inuyasha, June 8, 2003

I am a big Inuyasha fan. So I really wanted to know who did the ending song (Deep Forest) because I loved it! So I snooped around and found Do As Infinity. I like Japanese Rock/Metal and said to myself "is the pop just as good" After hearing more DAI it really is. I give this album a two thumbs up. I recommend to any Japanese music fans or at least Inuyasha fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, January 28, 2003

Do As Infinity is a great band with a great sound. Some of the classic animés of all time have taken their music as themes, and they've yet to disappoint me yet. I first heard them with "Tookumade", from Vampire Hunder D: Bloodlust, and I was nearly hooked. Then I got into Inuyasha and they blew my mind. Wonderful band, wonderful songs, highly recommended to all J-pop gurus and rookies alike. Most of all, I recommend "Tookumade" and "Fukai Mori."

This review is from: Do the Best (Audio CD)
I bought this CD when I was in Japan.
Its soooo good.
If has all the good songs from 3 albums in 1.
Don't need to buy their old albums.
Standout tracks are Summer Days, Oasis, Yesterday & Today, Tokumade, Fukai Mori (DEEP FOREST) and many more.
Its a good CD for those who are a newbie DAI fan.

Well I've been a fan of Do As Infinity for soo long and this was my first cd i've ever had from them and i think it's the best thing i've ever heard it's better than downloading music and hearing it. So your 50 dollars are worth spending on such great cd like DAI's because the first time I heard it, I was amazed by the sound of the cd is very well recorded. The best songs in the cd are... basically all of them. So believe me what I'm telling you, this is a good buy if you really like J-rock/pop, because this is one cd you would want to add in your collection of cd's
