Another Holy Oldie But Goodie From GG'z, January 12, 2005
This review is from: Do Or Die (Audio CD)
Once more, my big homies came thru with another classic on plastic. Vintage 90's Gangsta/G-Funk/West hip hop at it's best(and holiest). This time around there was production from South Central Cartel's Prodeje to go with the airtight production of then producer/GG member DJ Dove...the end result being a West Coast holy hip hop classic for the soul and for the speakers, homies. From the Ghetto Sermon to Anutha Gruuv For Some Preachin', the album is HOTTT! but I'll admit that the only low point this time around was Truth or Funk(100 times noisier than it was funky, production could have been alot tighter). But the lyrics and overall production alone earn Do Or Die a big 5 from Decatur Redd. My all-time fav is West Coast Roc(produced by Prod from SCC).

This Album Is Great As A Whole, September 9, 2003
This review is from: Do Or Die (Audio CD)
Every track one this album except 'Why Cain't The Homiez Hear Me' and 'Backslider', is meant to make you boogie, This gives the album a wholeness. I can't compare it to 'Gang Affiliated' or 'I Can See Clearly Now' because those were hardcore albums. Do Or Die is a gangsta boogie album. I wouldn't say that it is better than their latest gangsta boogie album 'The Exodus', that album is indredible, but what makes me freak out about Do Or Die is that although it is old school, I can still compare it to 'The (2003) Exodus' album and it still has that gangsta boogie effect on you. Anything that is old school and can still catch people and make them move, is worth buying. I am rating it 5 stars as an old school album.

Old School TopZ da new, June 12, 2003
This review is from: Do Or Die (Audio CD)
This album was released in 1995,8 years later, I still love it. In my Opinion, this album is better than 1999's "I can see clearly now", or last years "the exodus".This is the 2nd greatest west coast gospel rap album,to T-bone's last street preacha.tracks 2,3,5,6,7,9 are all dope.the only weak song here is "backslider" that lacks style Mr.solo,TIK Tok,and Chille' baby tear it up.
