Book Description

December 30, 2008

"I can't choose between my two best friends. Can I have two maids of honor?"

"My fiancé and I are considering a destination wedding. Are we obligated to cover our attendants' travel expenses?"

"Do we have to invite our guests' children to our wedding?"

"I'm still close to my ex-husband's parents. Would it be okay to invite them to my wedding?"

"How do my partner and I go about planning our commitment ceremony?"

"My parents are divorced and each has remarried. Where do they sit in church?"

"Do I have to wear white?"

Do I Have to Wear White? draws on the Posts' extensive database of wedding questions received through their Web site, as well as popular topics addressed in their columns. For busy engaged couples and their families, attendants, and guests, this book provides at-a-glance answers to everything from essential bridal basics to the knotty logistical questions that spring up around this joyous—yet often complex—event.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't plan wedding without this book January 19, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
It takes almost a year to plan the wedding. I first got this book in the library and after extending it 3 times I realized that I want to have the copy of my own, since I have been going back to this book again and again for each step of the planning.
All the questions answered in this book are very targeted to each section. If you never planed the wedding or you have no idea what the formal etiquette is this book will be really helpful. Its small format allows you to carry it with you and be like your small cheat sheet.
Highly recommended for all first time brides or parents who help to plan the wedding.

5.0 out of 5 stars modern wedding questions December 14, 2012

so far this book has great questions for a modern wedding - not nearly as detailed/old school etiquette as the other "post family" books.
