hokey but pleasant,

This is a very mellow, cocktail-lounge kind of CD. If you are convinced that Don Ho is hopelessly hokey, don't buy it. If you are looking for music to listen to as you sip a cocktail and feel like swaying to waltz melodies, this is the CD for you. All of the songs are love songs, and are sung clearly and sincerely. Happy listening!

Don Ho passed away in 2008,

Just an FYI you won't be seeing anything new from Don unfortunately he passed away I think in 2007 or 2008 of a heart problem. In the last years he could barely sing. You can as far as I know still go to his show in Hawaii as he wanted it to continue after his passing. Not sure if it's still on or not.
I purchased another one of his CD's and it was so mellow I regret purchasing it but then again I have another one and I love it. He was a great guy and I think if you like him buy all his CD's :)

Don Ho will always be Hawaii for me. I had the pleasure of seeing him in Waikiki before he became super famous. The setting was in The International Marketplace in an intimate setting.
