This book is one of the best books i have ever read. It is definately one of Rachel Vails best. She has shown that she not only understands the mind of teenage girls, but also boys. I reccomend this book to girls around the age of 13 and above.

Very much enjoyed this book & the sympathetic protagonist. Whit's SUCH a decent guy, with good instincts & wisdom, he just doesn't know it yet. So being 13 & awkward, he makes mistakes that made me cringe with recognition. Not knowing how to confront his bigoted friend, though he's disgusted & disillusioned...making wrong, goofy romantic moves...unsure how to deal with his obviously suffering mom. Lots of uncomfortable stuff that, like real life, doesn't get totally resolved but DOES lead to growth & change. Super author & book - look forward to reading more!

Rachel Vail definately rememebers what it's like to be a teenager! Throughout 'Do-Over' the scenes come back to you, remembering friends, family issues, and those new relationships! Bound to make you smile and laugh all the way!

Whit the main character in the story I dont know why but he has a problem with girls. I think he should just ask a girl to go out with him. He is also having a hard time with his parents because they are getting a divorce. I know how he feels because that has already happened to me, but he is just a normal kid trying to grow up in a teenage life.

One part I think is funny about this book is how whit has so much trouble trying to get a girl to go out with him. He is so clumsy when it comes to talking to girls that I find it quite funny.
One part I dont like about the book is that whits parents are getting a divorce. It really hurts him. But he will get over it soon. Another part that I disliked is that he finally when he gets a girlfriend she dumps him instantly and goes out with his other friend.

I would recommend this book to 8th graders to about 10th graders who like dramatic and yet funny books.

Order was processed On July 7 and it is now August 7 and I still have not received this item. I contacted the seller by email as requested and no response. I will never buy from this seller again!

white man wants to go out with this girl shelia.So he starts to become friends.Whiteman asks her out and she says yes to him.They go and hang out and he tries to french kiss her and she breaks up with him because she dosent like it.So he startes to hang out with his friends more again his freinds are Macky and Doug.On new years eve his mom and dad tell him they are splitting up.He really doesent care much.But his dad startes to date the play teacher.Whiteman does not like that they are dating.He just wants his mom and dad to be together and not anyone else.Also the play is just a few days away.

The book that the author wrote was an excellent source to read, because the book involves a child named Whitman Levy, who is trying to do again the mistakes that he confronts like his first kissed with Sheila, who is a white girl with long hair, when he kissed her she ran off, because he French kissed her and she felt weird, so ran off and Whitman felt sad for himself.
However, there are some languages that are not mature for some readers. For example, Levy said that he kissed Sheila, and he began rubbing her breasts, and he felt bad because he did not felt anything for Sheila and in previous occasion she said to Levy stop but he continue to kiss her. That is not something a teen should see and anyone, because it some how represents rape.
The Family Levy is not the perfect family and I'm not saying that is not excellent I'm just saying that family has a lot of problem for instance the mom and the dad fight a lot, Annie, is the older sister of Whit, and she leave the house to spend time with her boyfriend and the worst part is that the family don't realize where her daughter goes out every night, the dad sleeps with his son drama teacher, the mom is mad at her husband, and as for Whit, he lives a normal life a teenager in his school, neighborhood, and his family.
Therefore, the book is an excellent best seller to read although the would be some language inappropriate for some readers.

i would reccomend my book to a friend because it addresses a lot of the issues that surround many high school students these days, like first loves, best friends, fights, and crushes. in the book the main character goes form his first kiss, to his first real girlfreind, to his first real break up so fast, and that is exactly how life goes on in schools today. At the end he is grown up from a boy, to a finally reached teenager
