Our favorite princess returns--hiking boots and all--this time loaded with questions for her daddy. Everyone knows a princess. As this princess and her daddy wander through the woods, all kinds of wonders reveal themselves. She discovers that no matter who you are, a princess lies inside of us.
After a 2 month stint in Tulsa OK, (just long enough to be born,) author Carmela LaVigna Coyle, moved with her family back to NY. Her award-winning Fashion Illustrator father found work in Buffalo where they settled for a while. Shortly after turning eight, her family moved out west to Colorado where she now lives with her husband, two children and dog.
Although Carmela has a degree in Elementary Education with minor in Fine Art, she gives credit to early walks at dawn, and motherhood as to where she got her "real" education.
Carmela wrote her first published book, "Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?" after being inspired by her daughter Annie's tenacity. As they were readying for a hike in the Rocky's, her daughter, wearing denim coveralls, sparkling tutu, a messy t-shirt, mismatching socks and a crown askew on her head, asked the title question. Before Coyle could answer her daughter's pressing question, she asked a second one; "Do princesses have to brush their teeth?" and then a third.
Do Princesses stories have become an empowering ongoing series of books for little ones, selling over 1/2 million copies to date!
