Copies of the original VHS have been on the internet for years, selling for the same retail price as it did in 1985 ($9.95) on auction sites for a reason: this short documentary simply isn't that exciting. What IS here are quick sound bites from the performers on the day and a general feel of what it was like to be a fly on the wall in the studio. Though that may sound interesting, you don't get any new information that you didn't pick up from watching Live Aid or even being alive watching MTV at the time. What do you IMAGINE Sting is going to say when they ask him why he decided to participate? Anyway, I still give this 4 of 5 stars because I'm a nerdy, obsessive, MEGAHUGE fan of this song and this cause. But I don't recommend this to ANYONE who doesn't consider themselves the same.

I love this video. I am so happy it will be availableon DVD. It makes us remember what Christmas should really be about and the song touches your heart.
Seeing all the artists put this together is great.
There should be more donations like this one for people and animals alike. Have a beautiful Christmas and a Peaceful New Year. Please dont forget our furry friends ..this holiday season...
