Amazing...but totally underrated.,
By Rich (Philadelphia) - See all my reviews

Michelle is definitely the underrated member of Destinys Child. She doesnt get as much time on the albums as Beyonce or Kelly. Usually shes just back up, or gets a short solo part, which I think its extremely unfair. Michelle has been my favourite, I dont know but something about her just stands out. I didnt get her 1st solo album, I never even heard of it. But then I saw her perform "Do You Know" on The Soul Train Awards, I believe it was, & I was just BLOWN away! I dont even like Gospel music but I love her album a lot. I think she should get more recognition in Destinys Child or stay solo. Shes an amazing perfomer and deserves more praise. Everyone song is great on this album, but the strongest track is "15 Minutes" hands down. Her vocals are amazing, lyrics are amazing, just an all around amazing track. She's really outdone herself, cant wait for her next project.

Her sophomore effort better than her first!,

I must say that I was a little surprised to hear that Michelle was recording a second cd. Sure, her first album was a critical and commercial success. But, from a musical standpoint, it was kinda weak . . . what with the overabundance of guest artists and the strong emphasis on production, the underlying message (that I got at least) was that Michelle was not vocally capable of holding down a cd on her own. But, as I said of her first effort, she has a soft, sweet voice that works in this format. So, "Heart to Yours" was a nice listen. Well, the success of that first album must have really boosted Michelle's confidence because this second album is superior to the first, which is a rarity for many artists! Only one track features a guest artist (well, two if you count the number performed by Destiny's Child) and Michelle's voice sounds stronger and more confident! Like the first cd, the instrumentation and production is tight. And, of course, the message of these songs is encouraging and uplifting! Overall, I think this is a great cd and I highly recommend it! Bravo Michelle!

AMAZING! FANTASTIC! But SO UNDERATED!,
By James Houston "James" (ENGLAND) - See all my reviews

Michelle Williams, in my opinion, is THE most underated artists in music. From fans, to even so called 'professional' critics constantly saying Beyonce and Kelly had huge solo success, and 'the other one' was no where, people need to open their eyes (and ears!) This album is fantastic- and its beyond me how people say she cant sing! This album has fantastic lyrics (which after listening to for over a year, i think i have discovered some hidden meanings). Michelle's voice is spine-tingling, and so much more easy-going than Beyonce's, and more exciting than Kelly's.
Purpose In Your Storm- 10/10. Traditional gospel, mixed with funky rnb beats, and inspiring lyrics. Never Be The Same- 9/10. SO Catchy! Talking about her fame, and i think she's saying that when DC fans and critics 'forget' to mention her, she doesnt care-she's had an amazin experience. so gracious. Love Thing- 9/10. Perfect rnb. soulful, catchy, brilliant production Do You Know- 8/10. This girls voice is amazing! The Incident- 8/10. Like an autobiography of her life. Ups the rnb vibe of the album. My Only Love Is You- 6/10. This is definately listenable, but its sort of just 'there'. 15 Minutes- 10/10. The BEST song here! Her voice is beyond perfect. the lyrics are so powerful. AMAZING! The first 7 songs are unbelieveable! Tracks 8 and 9 are good. Rescue Me- 8/10. THE most relazing song EVER! Such a 'nice' song. Didnt Know- 6/10. Poppy song- 'happy'. The Movement- 8/10. An ANTHEM! Please, all pop, rnb, soul and gospel fans- BUY THIS!
