5.0 out of 5 stars A lighthearted, fun-to-look at book
This is a wonderful little book for anyone who likes TV, or even someone who doesn't. The cute, colorful design includes great pictures and a pop-art feel, and includes random photos and snippets of trivia from "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," "Gilligan's Island," "All in the Family," and dozens and dozens more. 1.0 out of 5 stars I bought this book used for $1.50 and regret it
First, the content is not well-organized. TV programs and TV memories are generational, so it doesn't make sense to mix images from the 50s-90s together.

Second, the photographs have little impact. The book itself is rather small, and some pages contain clusters of small photos that compete for your attention.

Third, there is little...

The cute, colorful design includes great pictures and a pop-art feel, and includes random photos and snippets of trivia from "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," "Gilligan's Island," "All in the Family," and dozens and dozens more. I wasn't born in the 50s or 60s but I remembered about 3/4th's of the shows, commercials, jingles, names and other stuff found in this book. It was a nice little stroll down memory lane and a refreshing blast from the past. That's basically why this book was created: to give readers (and television viewers) a pleasant jaunt down memory lane in television land. You won't find much tv trivia here (though there are a few nuggets scattered throughout the pages), but what you will find are a lot of glossy photos, memorable phrases, and a wave of nostalgia. Great gift for any lover of television or student of popular culture.

This book was the HIT of the latest 40th birthday party that I attended! What a delightful and refreshing walk down memory lane! You must purchase this book for all of your friends who were born in the 50's and early 60's. Do you remember PSSSSSST? This book did not forget a thing! What about green shag carpet? Thanks for the laughs and the memories!

It is amazing. These guys really have their finger on the pulse of what I remember from my childhood. I think we must have been at home watching the same programs. I don't have the first book, but I surely recommend this one !!!

Second, the photographs have little impact. The book itself is rather small, and some pages contain clusters of small photos that compete for your attention.

Third, there is little interesting commentary. A good nostalgia book should describe how pop culture and society influenced each other.

This little book doesn't begin to do justice to the most powerful medium of our age.
