Freaking perfect,

You can't throw a beer bottle anymore without hitting some alt-country wannabee. The Wacos are far and away the best of the lot, and this is far and away their best disc. Langford has the fire-in-the-belly of Billy Jo Shaver (without the gut.) This is loud, rude, and fo-real. This is the best of rock and country, without becoming (pause to spit) country rock.

I first heard the title track on the 'Local Anesthetic' show on WXRT radio in Chicago a couple of years ago. The song stuck with me, so I decided to get the CD. Years later, I still listen to that song over and over, again, without getting sick of it. Needless to say, that's never happened before! I have to agree with the other reviewer who said that the title track is strong enough to justify buying the album.

Honky tonk punk,

A great collection of punch-drunk honky tonk punk. Just the opening track alone is worth the price of admission.
