5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, I want it Coco! I want it!
Track list: 1 w/o rap -3:53, 2 album version -4:35, 3 Kenny Diaz radio edit -3:54, 4 Hex Hector mix -7:44, 5 alternate lyric w/o rap -3:53. 3.0 out of 5 stars So So Coco for Coco
In the vastness of pop music, consumers are often badgered with repetition and homogeny. Coco Lee's turn at pop, particularly dance pop fails at it's attempt to differeniate itself for the same reasons many other acts do. That is, it's formulic and unimaginative. This, the lead & highlight track from Coco's fine English speaking debut CD, is a sexy, mid-tempo, funky slice of pop with gorgeous vocals that reel you in until you're trapped and singing along out loud! The Kenny Diaz edit is a jeep remix for the urban crowd but it's the fantastic Hex Hector mix that wins my heart; a truly uplifting, typical NY style Hex house mix that turns the song into a heavenly club anthem and builds right up until the closing chorus -which you'll be begging for! To fans of Hector's work on recent tracks from Terry Dexter, Jennifer Lopez & Deborah Cox, this is the next best thing -I just can't understand why it didn't hit the US dance charts. So, anyway, buy this and play it to death -the people will soon come around and realise what they've missed! Vocally bigger and brighter than leading pop talent Jennifer Lopez, this track proves that Coco is definitely one to watch. The love is there -come and get it ... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3.0 out of 5 stars So So Coco for Coco, March 26, 2000

In the vastness of pop music, consumers are often badgered with repetition and homogeny. Coco Lee's turn at pop, particularly dance pop fails at it's attempt to differeniate itself for the same reasons many other acts do. That is, it's formulic and unimaginative. Essentially, her vocal talents, in of itself, are above average, even if juxtaposed to her American contemporaries. However, the extent of her involvement in writing, arrangment, vocal direction and production may have an effect on the overall quality and aesthetic. It's an interesting attempt to fuse several genres, as the trend seems to go these days. Although the dance remix is infectious, her somewhat whiny vocal gymnastics deter from the overall grove. Still danceable however.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coco, we want your love!, April 20, 2002
This review is from: Do You Want My Love (Audio CD)
This should have been a HUGE hit in the US.. sadly it got lost in the teeny bopper stampede of 1999. A blend of smart lyrics and danceable beat,, Do You Want My Love is one of those songs you have to play over and over. Dont let the fact that this one got lost along the way stop you from buying it. The remixes are right on, and the delivery is incredible. The Hex Hector remix in particular takes the song to an entirely different level. Get it before its too late!

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!, June 18, 2000
This review is from: Do You Want My Love (Audio CD)
Coco Lee is the best. This song is fun, catchy and will make you smile and dance. The majority of people will not regret buying this cd, it is sheer class. I only wish that she would write some more of her own songs, esp. on her next album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent debut by pop singer Coco Lee!, May 2, 2000

"Do You Want My Love" is an excellent song by pop singer Coco Lee. The single is a very catchy and sweet pop-dance tune. It's great for everyone to enjoy and dance too. Her image is also great, less revealing than some other female pop stars. Coco Lee is a performer who has tremendous amount of vocal talent and range! Specifically in the part of the song, "Do You Want My Love" where Lee makes an impressive long high note. Already her album has sold 8 million copies throughout the world. Congratulations Coco Lee! It is evident that Coco Lee is getting through her audience.

Coco Lee is also quite pretty and beautiful!

Her stage presence and choreography is excellent. She's fulfilling what she set out to do by making people happy and enjoy music through her performances and songs.

Coco Lee is definitely paving the way for Asian American pop artists out to the music scene. I totally love her originality and uniqueness. There are no other artists quite comparable to Coco Lee.

"Do You Want My Love" by pop singer Coco Lee receives a Kenny rating of A. Overally excellent song, with a strong happy vibe.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Do You Want My Love" is fabulous, December 6, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Do You Want My Love (Audio CD)
I recently discovered her music and I have to say it is very pleasant. "Do You Want My Love" is a warm sensual Urban/Dance-Pop song with warm vocals. The backing music is a nearly equal cross between En Vogue's 1997 hit, "Whatever" and Jeniffer Lopez's hit, "If You Had My Love." Coco vocals are similar in range and timber to Urban/Dance-Pop artist, Mya. I was surprised how good this song was when I first heard it! I was like, "How come I didn't heard this before?" The remixes are fabulous. I hope Coco finds her niche in the North American market. It would be an intelligent move to continue releasing remix singles, and hopefully more dance-oriented, Kylie-esque Dance-Pop albums instead of attempting to create Mariah's more Hip-Hop based works. Very club friendly Dance-Pop like Kylie's music is more like to break Coco Lee into the North American market.

This is a great single! Can't wait til she releases her album here in Oz! It's good to see some Chinese people singing in the music industry.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reply to Broadway reviewer, July 9, 2004

Geez...how DARE you be so offensive to CoCo? I was born and grew up in America BUT I happen to purchase CDs from artists NOT in my country, inclusive of her, Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Emma Shapplin, Mika Nakashima...I can go on forever. People can market ANYWHERE they like. Of course J. Lo, Mariah, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, etc. made waves more.

And for crying out loud, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO WRITE ABOUT THE ARTIST HERSELF! You're supposed to review this CD. I know I'm not one to do so, either, so will just say goodbye.

Why bother buy this CD if you're here in America? JLo, Mariah, etc are making waves. Do we really need Coco? Nah, i don't think so. If this is the kind of music she's selling then she's marketing the wrong place.
