Item is not suitable for use with a wood stove as purchased. Paint is not heat compatible and burns. Voids in the casting were filled with some kind of filler. Burned and melted paint had to be cleaned off stove. Entire pot needed to be sandblasted and properly finished with heat resistant stove paint.

After about a week of use, it sprung a leak on my stove and overnight the whole top of the stove was covered with rusty water. I am in the process of contacting Amazon for a refund.
