If I buy a copy of WoW, do I have to pay for the second month before I can start playing? City of Heroes did that, and it's given me a reason to hold off on WoW until I know the answer.

Because you have to pay in advance initially, I'd guess they bill you when you go into the 2nd month of play. It would be too risky to let (some) people play because not everyone would pay after they've played. Even if they have a credit card #, it's easy enough to cancel a cr cd - you know?

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't expecting to play the second month without having to pay it; I just didn't want to have to pay for the second month before I could touch my "free" first month.
