Great first time owner's book
We bought the book because we had never owned a Dobe before and our two kids (ages 9 and 13) wanted to learn how to train their dog themselves. They have done a fantastic job following the book's instructions and "Spector" who came to us at 10 weeks old is now fully grown and a great member of our family.

this is a ok beginner book.
This book was informative on health care such as coat, toe nails, bathing, feeding etc.. I was somewhat diappointed in the behavior section. I was needing information as a first time owner of a dobie with two small children and it really didn't fit my needs or answer my questions of the behavior of the breed toward families with children.
