If you have or are planning on getting a Doberman puppy, this book should be required reading. It does not go too into depth on the subject of raising a Doberman as it is a subject that requires thousands of pages, but it does give you a great "first look" at raising a Doberman. If you have researched Dobermans excessively, this is not the book for you as it will not tell you anything new, but if you need a good introduction to caring for this noble breed it is a great read.

I bought this book hoping to get some insight on my newly acquired Doberman. Instead, this manual is a cookie cutter listing of common sense items that everyone should know BEFORE they get any dog. It offered no information specific to the Doberman breed or it's unique personality or requirements. The author could easily replace the breed Doberman Pincher with Poodle or St Burnard. I thumbed through the book and was extremely disappointed. I ended up throwing it away because it was just taking up space.

Nice book with lots of information for beginner thru expert and lots of color photos too. Enjoyed this book much more than some more expensive Doberman books I have purchased. Highly recomemded.

This book is a good start for the new Doberman owner. It has a nice amount of generic information and is an easy read.

This manual is very informative and helpful in understanding our Doberman. Get it as soon as you get your Doberman.

I promptly received the book in the mail. Perfect condition. I am so glad I found Amazon.com to order books. I am always looking for older books and hate to order from a book store. This was a great find.

Great guide for anyone thinking about sharing their life with this noble breed. Helped me to decide this dog is a breed I hope to live with soon.
