Both of our girls (ages 3 and 6) are big fans of Doc McStuffins. We have all of the episodes on our DVR and lots of the toys. It is a fun show about a girl who is a doctor for toys and brings them to life with her magic stethoscope. It teaches children about the medical profession in a kid friendly way.
We bought this book for our 3 year old from a school book fair and she chose it for her bedtime story tonight. It is about a friend's toy Bubble Monkey Bubble Blower that won't blow bubbles anymore. After a checkup, Doc has a diagnosis and a way to make things all better. My daughter really enjoyed the story. The best part was after Doc got Bubble Monkey all fixed up, my daughter started singing the "I feel better, so much better..." song from the TV show. It was great. She immediately wanted to read it a second time, but I told her we would read it tomorrow night again at bedtime. It also comes with some stickers and some healthy eating tips on the inside back cover which is being compared to feeding Bubble Monkey the right type of bubbles.
Overall, this book was a big hit tonight. It has great artwork and a fun, educational story. It is also a fairly simple book that can become an excellent reading book for her as she gets older, or a book her older sister (age 6) can read to her now. Highly Recommended!
