They fit the bill but not the Bob. Amazon Verified Purchase.
on October 27, 2013
These Dockers men's bellowed cargo pants are a pain in the ass, literally. I bought a pair several years ago and I loved everything about them--the fit, the fabric, the look of them, even if they had buttons on the pockets when Velcro would be better. So I just bought two new pair at Amazon, thinking they would be the same, but they aren't, especially in the crotch, and I hate them. The previous pair had a 6 1/2 inch zipper; the new ones have a 5 inch zipper. You think size doesn't matter? If I were a teenager who wore my pants half way down my ass, these would "fit the bill" as one reviewer wrote. Well, they don't fit the Bob, me, and I am constantly trying to tug them up. I'm not the Man in the Iron Mask, I'm the man in the five inch crotch. Why don't I return them? Because I'm punishing myself for buying pants and footwear online. Between Amazon and that place in Maine I've got a terrible batting average the past ten years. So I deserve what they send me.
The fit, or misfit, is one problem with the new pants, the fabric is another. The fabric is not as heavy weight and it is smoother compared with the earlier pair and so it wrinkles readily. The bellowed front pockets are large enough to fit a twin puppy in each of them, but I think they're ugly. The pockets, not the puppies. If there was an AA group (Amazon Anonymous) in my neck of the woods that's where I'd be tonight. "Hi, I'm, Bob, and I'm an amazonic."
