These shoes wear very well (his second pair) and fit true to size.
It fits well, is very comfortable and I am very happy with this purchase.
The shoes are good and they fit as expected, but I asked for a colour and they sent me one I didn't want nor like.

Product Description

The Dockers brand is the quintessential source for casual, authentic and stylish apparel and footwear. The brand continues to expand its offerings to provide men and women with clothes and accessories that offer versatility for an on-the-go lifestyle. Dockers khakis were first introduced in 1986 as the casual alternative to jeans and dress pants. The line has since expanded from men's casual pants to a broad range of apparel and accessories for men and women in more than 50 countries in every region of the world.

Featuring a smooth leather upper with 360-degree lacing, the spirit of the boat shoe is alive and well in the Castaway from Docker's. A highly flexible rubber outsole lends grip while the contrast stitching on the moc-toe adds a touch of pop.

These came from Amazon.com thru Shoebuy.com , a wonderful online shoe source I think. I had to send them back because the regular size in this shoe is very narrow. I exchanged them for WIDE width. Husband says he thinks the WIDE size is wide enough so that he can break them in. It's boder-line right now but he wants to try. There was no problem with the exchange, shoebuy.com paid for the return UPS cost. Shipping was FAST.

Very good quality boat shoe. Superior to comparable brands.
Nevertheless, the shoe's (M) could be misleading.
As user of Timberland's brand, among others, Dockers is definitely Narrow.

I got my bf these shoes for Valentines day. He loves the look of the boat shoe and these were significantly cheaper than the Sperrys. However, he wore these out in the rain once (maybe twice) and for a pair of BOAT SHOES, these things do NOT hold up. They are now discolored toward the front and are essentially falling apart after about 1 month of wear. Save yourself the hassle and buy a pair of Sperrys !

I bought these shoes in early March and they started slowly falling apart in mid-April.

Recently the sole lining is lifting up in both feet of my pair. This makes them uncomfortable to wear until the slowly-disconnecting flap becomes folded and creased. Then my socks have been touching the inner-sole which is not comfortable to have the fabric of your socks against. First the sole lining started lifting up and now even the inner-sole is lifting up. Small debris have gotten under the yet-un-creased flap of the inner-sole and are far more annoying than any debris of comparable size in the actual shoe.

In addition these may be better served with no laces. Tie them too tight and they immediately become unlaced, too loose and they do not hold the shoe together. A fixed tie at an average tightness would probably work better.

The third problem is that one cannot wear these sock-less. I have visible red scars on the back of my ankles from the one and only time I wore these without socks in April! Each bruise is around the size of a dime at the height of the shoe on my feet. Now I'll never be able to get married.

I will not buy this pair again and probably not Dockers shoes again. I'm still confused that Dockers sells such low quality shoes.

Expect compliments while wearing these. Do not expect your moneys worth of a reliable, pain-free, enduring shoe.

I was looking for a comfortable pair of boat shoes. I read the reviews for these shoes and decided to order. Well, I should have listened to many of the reviews because they were really uncomfortable especially in the heel. I would not reccomend these shoes.

Shoes delivered 2/27/13 and as of 4/17 the bottoms of soles are wearing out and the innersoles have come out. I used to love these shoes when they would last over a year. I will not buy another pair!

dockers and their sweatshop labor products are getting increasingly worse and worse. stay away from this crappy, poorly made shoe that will weather in just a few short weeks.
