These are real boots, so don't expect them to be soft and comfortable: they are a rough pair of boots, but it's exactly what I was looking for! :)

Shoes.com ran me around for a week while they searched for this shoe to ship. The email cancellation system was very very slow, and didn't take into consideration a time sensitive need for an answer re: product availability. I finally got through to them via phone (no mean feat) and cancelled the order. Be aware shoes.com advertises products they may or may not have and will "hold" your order while they search.
