Poor Quality, October 15, 2009
This review is from: Dockers Men's Never Iron Flat Front Pant (Apparel)
I purchased these pants mostly due to the Dockers reputation. While I was ultimately disappointed with this product and am seriously questioning Dockers' ability to maintain quality, there are some very good things about these pants:
1. 'Never Iron' means never iron. I've tried countless wrinkle-resistant, no-iron pants - Dockers and other brands - and have determined that they are all meaningless marketing terms. THIS is the exception. When removed promptly from the dryer and hung, these pants are truly NEVER IRON. I can say this first-hand through at least 8 washings. I still have yet to get through 30 washings.
2. The weight of the material is excellent and makes these pants seem a little more dressy than traditional khaki pants. They also hang more nicely on the body.
3. I purchased two pairs - one in navy and one in khaki. So far, color-retention has been excellent - again through 8 washings.
4. Great fit.
However...
While all of these benefits suggest a truly premium pair of pants and might indicate one very happy customer, there is one drawback that writes off all of the above comments: they fall apart.
The waistband snapped and a beltloop frayed in the khaki pair after ONE washing. The stitching unraveled. After 8 washings, the stitching in the waistband of the navy pair unraveled. I was able to restitch these all myself, but this is not the quality one would expect from a premium pair of pants that cost between $70 and $80 dollars. And, I certainly wouldn't expect this from a previously good name such as Dockers.
In sum, a pair of pants can have the best features in the world, but if they fall apart, they're useless. I'm seriously questioning the ability of this brand to maintain its quality

I love these pants, but kinda pricey, October 3, 2007
I'm fortunate enough to be in a position to not have to worry too much about the price on staples like books, food & pants. But wow... I paid $70 for these casual khaki pants. That's about twice the goin' rate. I told myself that it would be worth it if they lasted 2 years - b/c my average pair of khakis lasts only half as long, one year (and costs, interestingly enough, one half the price of this pair). So, one year later I can tell you that these pants are sharp, tight & do NOT FADE. But, they don't seem more resistant to wear & tear; and, are already showing signs. Not sure that they'll make it the two full years. If they don't, then I'd love to own another pair... but I'd only be willing to pay $50 the next time around. (and btw... there's no such thing as "never iron" unless your couch is within two feet of your dryer. You'll need to run a warm iron over the pants before you put them on. After that, they stay wrinkle free for several days - and several wearings, if you like).

Easiest way to buy pants, May 2, 2010
I know my pants size, but hate driving to the store and digging through piles of pants. Only to find only one pair in my size. The Dockers store on Amazon.com makes it so easy.
