Bottom Line: The material quality of this nice looking shoe has gone WAY downhill. Not built to last.

Two years ago, I purchased this shoe and it instantly became a favorite for work days. When the shoes were finally ready for retirement, I decided to buy three pair. Actually, I purchased 2 of these (a black and a brown) and a pair of Proposal, which is essentially the same shoe without laces. Well, the Dockers shoe that I loved has been replaced with a cheap imitation. Within a short time, I noticed that the leather and soles were wearing quickly. The leather was excessively wrinkled and frayed at the seams. The soles were quickly wearing away and fading to an ugly dark gray. Also, the elastic strip on the top of the shoe (for added flexibility) has already ripped on one pair.

I will not buy this shoe again.

I have a pair of these Dockers from about 2 years ago that were starting to look pretty beat, so I ordered another pair. The original shoes were well made and very comfortable, which is I was very disappointed to open the box and find these...

The first thing you notice is that the shoes are NOT as pictured on this site. There are several vertical seams on the side of the shoe. It looks like a cost cutting move, as if Dockers was too cheap to buy a piece of leather to cover the entire length of the shoe. They decided to use two pieces, and it looks absolutely terrible. Once you get past that, the stitching is pretty sloppy on these as well. The pair I received even had some of the inner fabric peeking out a seam on the outside. White fabric, visible on the outside of a black leather shoe...you get the idea.

Disappointing all around. Beware if you expect to get what is pictured.

I just wanted to offer my quick two cents on the above shoe in the black color. The shoe itself is great and when worn on a varied basis (i.e. not everyday but frequently through a specific time period), it holds its own with little wear on the heel and the top of the shoe. This shoe's leather is soft, so a normal amount of creasing will occur when worn over an extended period of time or in settings that call for increased pressure on toes. I happen to have the shoe on right now, and the appearance is very close to pristine. The best feature of this shoe and others by Dockers is the ability to order a W (wide) for feet that extend horizontally. For the price of the product, you can't do much better than this.

Older versions of the Dockers Men's Perspective were a great value, however with a recent pair I found that the materials and finish of these shoes have gone downhill. Stitching on the shoe upper separated after a few wears, rendering the shoes useless.

3 years ago i bought a pair of these shoes from Sears, and every year or so since then, have replaced them at sears. This year i bought on amazon... seemed like an easy choice...

Shoes begain wearing out insanely fast, and the sole began peeling apart... it almost seemed like all the rubber in the sole was shedding its skin.

Horrible experience, terrible shoe, will NEVER buy this brand again, and certainly not from this seller

* Overall i am very happy with this shoe

* it is very classy, good quality and light on the feet to wear on. I did not give it 5-stars because like a previous review indicated, the lacing becomes undone for no apparent reason - in my case it happens more on the right side than the left. Also, while very comfortable, i was expecting more from the full-length EVA cushioned footbed with gel heel pad, and All Motion Comfort Technology. With a name like that i was expecting real noticeable exceptional cushioning.

Having bought these for work, I was initially very pleased with the look and comfort. Then, after about 2 months, the gel in the heel started leaking and the sole started peeling off from the shoe. It was out of amazons return policy window, so I just threw them in the trash. I would not buy these again and have switched to Ecco shoes. Although more than double the price, they are worth it and will probably last twice as long compared to the Dockers.

Purchased this shoe for my husband during the holidays. He literally has worn these shoes maybe 6 times at the most. The side of the shoe where the stitching is has come apart! This is the second pair of men's shoes from Amazon that has not lived up to expectations. I'm a little embarrassed that this has happened to his shoes as well. Making me question the authenticity of the product as well.

To start let me say, im a prime user and i love amazon. However this item looks nothing like the picture shown. the shoe is very cheap looking and the seams are very contrasting in color and look like plastic. I would never put this shoe anywhere near my foot. Obviously it has been returned for a fill refund. I suppose you really do get what you pay for and in this case, that wasn't much.

Dont waste your time buying something so cheap looking, they will prove to be poorly made as well im sure

I will be putting some pictures up so people can see how ugly these shoes are

I am so impressed with these shoes. Fed up with $70+ shoes that wear out quickly, I became frustrated and just ordered the cheapest, good looking Oxfords I could find. (Because what the heck, they just wear out so why pay so much.) Irony of ironies, these Dockers turned out to be the most comfortable Oxfords I've ever worn. Normally, once I receive a new pair of shoes, there will be a few days of discomfort and the possibility of bloody feet where the hard leather rubs against the skin. Not so with these shoes: they were immediately comfortable. Another aspect of these shoes that I appreciate is a real arch. I have very high arches and most shoes feel flat, causing me arch pain. I have not felt any arch discomfort wearing these; in fact, I do not even bother to insert arch supports in them, which I normally need to do.

I will not be ordering anything other than these wonderful shoes from herein.
