Small fit,
This review is from: Dockers Men's Signature Khaki Big & Tall Pleated Pant (Apparel)
For a big and tall pant, this is an awful fit. I wear a 44W x 34L, so I was glad to find that Amazon carried Docker's in this size. Saves a trip to the mall. Price seemed good. When I got these pants I was very disappointed. While the fit in the waist and length were tight on, the butt and the thights were sized like a skinny jean a teenage boy might wear. Not at all the fit I was expecting. Very misleading. I have bought the "signature" khaki through JC Penney in their stores tons of times so I thought I was getting the same thing with a nice comfortable fit, you know, the things dockers are know for. I was really disappointed that amazon would not reimburse the shipping saying that incorrect fit is not their problem. I told them it was a case of incorrect descriptions, but they didn't care. How the hell did they win for best customer service a couple years ago? I don't see it. Don't buy these unless you a tall fat guy who wants a really tight pair of pants.

Not what I expected,

I expected the same Dockers I've been buying for years. These are not them. The waist doesn't close with a button. It closes with a hidden button and a hook. It's more like dress pants. The color I got is called "cloud" which makes me think white. I have several older pairs that I think of as white. The color is more like a light-khaki instead. And finally, there is a piece of elastic in the left and right sides so that the waist can expand. I've never seen such a feature on Dockers and don't like it. It makes the pants too loose and they don't hold my shirt tail in. I can cinch up the belt but then it looks all pleated at the waist. The delivery was not a problem but these were the only available Dockers I could find in 40x36 anywhere on Amazon and they don't have the features I wanted. I already washed them and its too late to return or I would.

Other reviews dead on , these are not what I expected, I took a chance because I needed green pants, the waist size was right , but the pants are tight in the thigh and butt area, I do not like the elastic above both side pockets , I probably will not wear again , salvation army for these !

Made for emaciated legs,
This review is from: Dockers Men's Signature Khaki Big & Tall Pleated Pant (Apparel)
I gave this product 1 star only because I can't give it 0. Unfortunately I bought three pair of these pants. They fit fine in the waist, seat and hips, but were cut so shockingly lean in the legs as to be unwearable. (No, my weight/size hasn't changed since an earlier purchase of these pants in the same size.) I see another reviewer commented on this same problem. Dockers has apparently drastically altered its sizing - or it has a new supplier who has no idea how to size pants. I also bought several pairs of shirts and had the same problem with them. They fit the torso fine but I felt like my forearms were going to split the material, and I could barely button the cuffs. It's as if the sleeves were from a child's shirt. Same thing with the pants. There may be some men somewhere in the world who can wear these pants and shirts, but they must be tiny-boned and without a muscle in their arms and legs. I have completely lost confidence in Dockers. They can't make the price low enough for me to ever buy any of their clothing again. Even if it were free, what good is an article of clothing that you can't wear without physical discomfort?

I bought these at the end of September, and have washed them and worn them a couple of time. I am 6 2" but fairly long-waisted, and they are just not tall enough in the waist for me. Okay to wear around the house, but nothing that will keep a shirt-tail tucked in over a long day in the office. However, as I was getting a box of old pants (which I no longer wore) together for charity, I had a chance to look through the several pairs of Dockers which were in good to excellent shape. The older ones were a bit heavier in fabric, a bit crisper on the permanent press, and longer in "the stride". Maybe it's just a change in style, but these Dockers were not quite the quality as the older ones. The price is great, but if pants aren't comfortable and don't look good, will you want to wear them? Then, I put on my Bills Khakis. At a little more than twice the price, the Bills Khakis are simply the most comfortable pants I've ever owned, but it can be difficult in today's world to find a GOOD tailor or seamstress to finish the hems in the bottoms properly. They are the kind of Khakis my father, grandfather and uncles wore after World War II. When Dockers came out, they looked good and felt good and wore reasonably well, but they looked good enough to wear with a jacket to work and were usually more comfortable than dress pants. Dockers weren't cheap at the time, and were well made. Levi's Dockers were a revolution in men's business dress at the time they came out (about half the price of good dress pants), and wore great in the best tradition of the Levi Straus blue jeans. (It seems like I made it through 3 and a half years of college with about six pairs of Levis jeans.) I got the feeling these pairs were designed by accountants cutting corners at every step. These are cheaper than the old ones (maybe 10-15 years old) they replaced. But they look cheaper. They feel cheaper. They are cheaper in price (perhaps thanks to Amazon). If you are a young man in good shape or are just a short-waisted individual, by all means try them out. They will look good (at least at a distance) without pressing, but they do not wash and wear as well as the older ones. Maybe the original ones were made in America or Mexico and the new ones aren't, or maybe Straus is "dumbing them down" to face foreign-made cheap competition. If that's the case, maybe it's time Straus decided to make some new brand of the same quality as they used to be. As far as "bang for the buck", they are okay, but I have definitely purchased my last pair of Dockers, and have already ordered more Bills Khakis.

Stretch waistband poor design,

The stretch waistband is the worst design in 15 years of wearing Dockers. Had to sew it closed to stabilize the waistband. Shirt wouldn't stay tucked and waistband stretch mechanism tended to fail. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CATASTROPHE OF POOR DESIGN!

Docker comfort waist pants,

I am definitely pleased with the Dockers comfort-waist pants. They were available in the short length that I need -- 29 inch inseam -- and they are comfortable to wear, as their description implied. Plus the quality seems to be superior to most pants that I have ordered recently.

I bought these for my husband who wears a 38 x 38. This is a very difficult size to find. He has been wearing Levi Dockers for many years. We were pleased to find that these Dockers are of much better quality than some bought in the past. The material is nicer and the stitching is better. Unfortunately with all the outsourcing, a lot of clothing is getting made so cheaply and it shows. That is not the case with these. My husband loves the comfort waistband and it doesn't show (another reviewer stated that it did show). My only complaint is that the colors are so limited in his size.
