4.0 out of 5 stars I love these pants, but kinda pricey
I'm fortunate enough to be in a position to not have to worry too much about the price on staples like books, food & pants. But wow... I paid $70 for these casual khaki pants. That's about twice the goin' rate. I told myself that it would be worth it if they lasted 2 years - b/c my average pair of khakis lasts only half as long, one year (and costs, interestingly enough,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, October 15, 2009
I purchased these pants mostly due to the Dockers reputation. While I was ultimately disappointed with this product and am seriously questioning Dockers' ability to maintain quality, there are some very good things about these pants:

1. 'Never Iron' means never iron. I've tried countless wrinkle-resistant, no-iron pants - Dockers and other brands - and have determined that they are all meaningless marketing terms. THIS is the exception. When removed promptly from the dryer and hung, these pants are truly NEVER IRON. I can say this first-hand through at least 8 washings. I still have yet to get through 30 washings.

2. The weight of the material is excellent and makes these pants seem a little more dressy than traditional khaki pants. They also hang more nicely on the body.

3. I purchased two pairs - one in navy and one in khaki. So far, color-retention has been excellent - again through 8 washings.

4. Great fit.

However...

While all of these benefits suggest a truly premium pair of pants and might indicate one very happy customer, there is one drawback that writes off all of the above comments: they fall apart.

The waistband snapped and a beltloop frayed in the khaki pair after ONE washing. The stitching unraveled. After 8 washings, the stitching in the waistband of the navy pair unraveled. I was able to restitch these all myself, but this is not the quality one would expect from a premium pair of pants that cost between $70 and $80 dollars. And, I certainly wouldn't expect this from a previously good name such as Dockers.

In sum, a pair of pants can have the best features in the world, but if they fall apart, they're useless. I'm seriously questioning the ability of this brand to maintain its quality

4.0 out of 5 stars I love these pants, but kinda pricey, October 3, 2007
I'm fortunate enough to be in a position to not have to worry too much about the price on staples like books, food & pants. But wow... I paid $70 for these casual khaki pants. That's about twice the goin' rate. I told myself that it would be worth it if they lasted 2 years - b/c my average pair of khakis lasts only half as long, one year (and costs, interestingly enough, one half the price of this pair). So, one year later I can tell you that these pants are sharp, tight & do NOT FADE. But, they don't seem more resistant to wear & tear; and, are already showing signs. Not sure that they'll make it the two full years. If they don't, then I'd love to own another pair... but I'd only be willing to pay $50 the next time around. (and btw... there's no such thing as "never iron" unless your couch is within two feet of your dryer. You'll need to run a warm iron over the pants before you put them on. After that, they stay wrinkle free for several days - and several wearings, if you like).

5.0 out of 5 stars Easiest way to buy pants, May 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I know my pants size, but hate driving to the store and digging through piles of pants. Only to find only one pair in my size. The Dockers store on Amazon.com makes it so easy.

I prefer the never iron Dockers as they always look sharp. This is my second purchase and I have been happy with both.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent pants with a few issues., April 7, 2010
I've been wearing these for a few years now as work pants.

I work in an office, so there is minimal wear and tear on them.

I'll make it short.

The good.

They fit well, not too baggy, not too tight, just right.

They never need to be ironed.

The bad.

The color (I buy black) tends to wear off on the top section of the belt loops revealing white beneath.

It may just be my love handles wearing the fabric away lol.

Another nasty thing these pants used to do but Docker's seemed to have fixed is the cuffs on the leg would fray big time.

The last few pairs I've had have not done this, so it might be something the company fixed.

I give these pants my recommendation.

Be warned though, as with most flat front pants they can make you appear....very visible from the front.

Pleated pants tend not to bunch up in the front but flat fronts definitely reveal a little more than needs be.

Ahem....

Still decent pants.

3.0 out of 5 stars TOO BAGGY, March 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First, I do have to say I like the color, feel and quality of the fabric, they are pretty good on the wrinkle free aspect.

Now to the bad...

No where in the description does it say that it is relaxed fit...these pants are super baggy on me. I ordered a 32x30 and they are super baggy on me. I'm not a skinny dude, so didn't expect to have so much leg room.

I'd suggest getting these pants in person after trying them on in a store first.

5.0 out of 5 stars No iron needed!!! Great casual work pants, April 23, 2009
I have owned several pairs of Dockers Flat Front Never Iron Khaki pants and I love them. They are the perfect casual work pant and are comfortable to wear. They never wrinkle and they last a long time. I would consider these a very good investment. The waist seems to run slightly smaller than many other pants so you may want to get one size larger than you normally would. The never iron Khaki's are a little more exspensive than the normal Khaki's but they are worth it if you hate ironing like I do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pants, September 4, 2011

My husband wears these pants for work and they last quite awhile. They are washed and dried on a very frequent basis. They do require a little ironing and will fray at the edges of the feet after several months. But considering how much we wash and wear them, I think they are very responsibly priced and durable.

The pants are well made and look nice but they could be a little longer from belt to crotch.
