UPDATE: I originally gave it three stars, but I'm starting to get a little tired of how flaky it is. It seems to never allow me to connect to it until I fiddle with it and, recently, it stopped working and I had to reset to factory mode and re-do setup to get it working again. So, I'm lowering the review to two stars. It's a joy when it works, but it's a hassle getting there. Maybe you'll have better luck. There's also supposed to be updated firmware out there, and that may fix some of the issues, but I've been unable to find a site to download it.

----

I've wrestled with this device for the past few hours and have a lot to share about getting it to work, so consider this an instruction guide as much as a review.

To install the device, first plug the supplied USB cable into it and into the TV. If your TV doesn't have a USB port, you'll need to buy a little USB wall charger, since this device does not come with one (unlike Chromecast, which does). Second, plug the iPush into the supplied blue HDMI extension cable and the other end of the cable into your TV. You may be tempted to plug the iPush directly into the TV, but I couldn't connect to it at all when I did that (perhaps being so close to the TV interferes with the WiFi; I don't know), so use the extension cable. Next, on your TV, switch to the input that the iPush is plugged into (likely "HDMI 2"). You should see a blue series of screens that's coming from the iPush and which is what is displayed on that input when you're not "pushing" any media to it.

Next, you need to set up the device. On the TV are some simple instructions, but I'll write down the steps, myself. First, you need to go into your computer/phone/tablet's WiFi settings and connect to the "iPush" network.

Even struggling with the Chinesed English I was able to get this device working in about 20 minutes. Afterwards I found out that the trick is to wifi connect to the device on its peer to peer default setting and to the letter A on the vertical menu. This allows the user to select English as the display language. After that using the device was easy. I have tested the device on various LCD TVs and it seems to be fine. AirPlay works fine with iOS 6. On iOS 7 the device doesn't always play the video, but sound always works. The android app works fine on version 4.2. I took this device on the road and used it in a hotel for one week along with a Seagate Wireless Plus hard drive (1 terabyte and internal wifi router). I played over 20 movies by switching the iPush from peer to peer to a router connection without a single hiccup.

The build quality is a basic POS plastic but it should be fine as long as you are careful with the device and don't twist the case when inserting or removing from the HDMI port.

Just ordered another one for a friend.

Was excited to order this items based on what I read about its potential. However, I was really disappointed. First, after installing, screen came on with Chinese character thus couldn't figure out and more importantly didn't work... had to use different software and was very limited as to what i can do...

Using this product from IOS or Android is quite easy by downloading the app, you must first connect to follow the instructions that you can see in TV. Once you have connected the Ipush net, you are supposed to be able to play multimedia from Windows media player or Mediamonkey by cklicking on "mu librarary" and clicking the gren button that appear in the rght upper corner of the player. The problem for me was to play stream videos such as Youtube or movie/series websites like streamcloud or whatever. For that the easy solution is downloading the chrome app called Vget-Download videos. Once you have installed the up, you will see in the upper right corner of the browser a brown icon, if you click there and paste the website address cotiainig th video, you will easily watch the movie or video in your TV. That's all

I ordered 3 of these devices and shipped back the first 2 because I thought they were broken, when I received the third device it did not work either, I could connect to the WiFi on the iPush but never got anything to display. I took it to a friends house and it worked with no issues, I have 3 Panasonic TV’s (different models / with the latest firmware) in my house and it will not work on any of them. It is a neat device but completely useless if you own a Panasonic TV

I have purchased and returned two of these items now and niether one of them work. I plug the item into the HDMI port on the television, then into usb for power and NOTHING!. I have tried several diffent types of usb power from iPhone/iPad to BlackBerry and computer, the LED on the device comes on and I am able to find and join the access point but nothing appears on the display. When I try to push over airplay I see the device as an option but nothing is displayed on my television. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I can't get it to work.
