Product Description

Size: 8oz | Color: One Color

Doc's was founded as a result of Dr. 'Doc' Joshua Barton being unsatisfied with the quality of cycling-specific skin care creams available on the market. As a competitive cyclist himself, Barton worked with pharmacists and chemists for four years in order to produce a new line of all-natural skin care products designed specifically for athletes. In 2010, Doc's chamois cream was released, quickly becoming its best-seller, and leading to a full-range of other all-natural products for cyclists, runners, and endurance athletes. From the beginning, Barton knew that it would take riders more than a couple of hours in the saddle to truly test a new chamois cream, which was why he took his concoction to France. He dispersed his cream to cyclists riding the Nuts of Ventoux Challenge, as the event involves riders climbing all three routes to the summit of Ventoux in a single, six-to-eight hour day. Barton took the riders' feedback, combined it with those four years of testing, and finally released his all-natural chamois cream to the public. Unlike other chamois treatments, Doc's cream forms a protective, anti-friction barrier using only natural ingredients. For its healing and anti-inflammatory properties, aloe-vera was chosen for the cream. This vitamin- and mineral-rich gel composition, blended with natural coconut oil, provides the durable and all-important anti-friction barrier between your skin and the chamois. And unlike petroleum-based mineral oil creams, this formulation doesn't clog pores or obstruct airflow to the chamois. Accordingly, this keeps both you and the chamois protected. And because the natural cream also incorporates witch hazel and aromatic tea tree oil, which naturally combat bacteria and fungus, the cream washes out easily in order to keep your chamois supple and clean. Doc's All-Natural Chamois Cream is available in an eight-ounce tub and is manufactured in the USA.

I ride nearly every day, and saddle sores have been a real pain in the you-know-what for me. I've tried many brands of chamois cream, and all seem effective at first, but many of the other brands contain ingredients that I can't use every day. Some contain champhor, and a few days of using them leads to swelling, redness, and irritation. Others contain lanolin, and I react to that after a few weeks of use. Doc's is the one brand that I've been able to use every day for the past year with no irritation at all. I highly recommend it.

Doc's is a bit different looking and feeling than the other creams. It's much less viscous than Assos or Paceline, but example. The runny, watery consistency put me off at first, but the results convinced me that you don't need a thick cream to make a good chamois cream.

If you ride a lot and haven't found a cream that won't irritate with frequent use, give Doc's a try.

Bill

I have sensitive skin, am female, and try to use products that are fairly close to edible. Meaning, if I can't eat it I don't put it on my skin. This chamois cream works well for long rides, does not have an overt menthol tingle, and has quality ingredients.

I have tried several "butt butters" for cycling and none compare to this. Doc's goes on smooth, lasts for really long rides (Assault on Mt. Mitchell with no reapplications, SWANK 65 in a monsoon with no reapplications, and my normal Saturday morning 90 mile ride with no reapplications). The other butters with petroleum products made my "area's" really itchy and dry, but this stuff washes off clean with no side effects. Also, for cyclists who spend alot of money on their equipment, this stuff preserves it pretty well, it doesn't dry out and make chamois dry and rough, it washes out clean and makes the chamois like new every time. This is the only stuff that I will use.

As an avid road cyclist who rides multiple centuries each season, I have come to truly appreciate the blessings of a great chamois cream.

The issue with most effective chamois creams, however, is that they are formulated with chemicals and other less than favorable ingredients (petroleum mineral oils, etc.). Given that the skin is your largest organ and absorbs all of these ingredients quite readily, I'd prefer to find a natural solution.

I've tried many non-paraben/non-chemical chamois creams and they've been found wanting. I was skeptical when I bought Doc's - but extremely happy on my first fifty miler with the cream in wet conditions. No chafing, no soreness and pure bliss at knowing that my skin was treated to organic aloe vera juice, coconut oil, witch hazel and other natural ingredients.

Thank you Doc's! Riding 120 miles on Saturday and looking forward to it with confidence with my newfound chamois cream.

This chamois cream is as close to perfect as they come. It goes on smooth, has the consistency of whipped butter, and lasts for the longest of rides in the nastiest of conditions...without any nasty chemicals.

I've ridden 50 mile gravel grinders, 30 mile rides in monsoon-like rains, cyclocross races, normal commutes, and this chamois cream has held up divinely.

I ride up to 250 miles per week, in season. I know some cyclists don't need/use chamois cream, but I do. Have tried everything fro, Bag Balm (dissolves chamois foam) to Assos. I use Udderly Smooth chamois cream for most rides, and DZ Nuts for long, epic rides.

I tried Doc's on a whim after reading the reviews. Halfway through my first tub, it's as good as the best I've ever tried, for less than half the cost. I may end up switching to Doc's for ALL rides, it's just that good and cost effective.

This has seriously changed my life! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I recently started biking to firm up and started to get a booty rash from chaffing. This was immediately soothed by Doc's cream and has pretty much vanished. In other news, I have always had muscular legs (former figure skater) and have had chaffing between my thighs for some time. Any time that I'd wear a dress, I would have skin on skin contact and it would get very uncomfortable quickly. Now I'm free to wear whatever I want with 100% comfort! Love, love, love!!

I cycle min 30+ miles a day either on the road, off road or single track. I don't have much problem with saddle irritation, but having been riding 50+ mile rides several time a week I started to get some irritation after the ride. I had been using my own concoction of natural herbs similar to Doc's makeup, which helped. I found Doc's to work just as well if not better. Both the cream and ointment. Since I don't have a lot of irritation or saddle sores I can't comment on how well it works on that, but for me its works just fine. I now use the cream before every ride whether I have irritation or not so I believe it helps prevent it. I only use the ointment when I had irritation and it seemed to help clear it up quickly.
