I bought the original on vinyl when it first came out, not knowing who he was. It was a knockout record - and remains so. Clever, funny lyrics, a great voice and cool arrangements. Right through the album. The reason I'm buying the CD is that my vinyl is crackled to bits.If you want some of the best of Ben Sidran, this is it.

Mr. Ben Sidran was definately at the top of his game on this album. Isn't it ironic that this wonderful; talented artist is bigger in Asia & Europe - As big as Elvis was here in the states. Sidran was a master at combinating a mixture of bebop, jazz, his flavor of rhythmic soul. 'Doctor Is In' as well as 'Cat In The Hat' are all-time classics. "A Song For A Sucker Like You" will remain one of my top 10 all-time favorites from this album. I highly recommend.H. Ward

I purchased the LP when it was just released somewhere n 1977, only based on the fact that I heard he had been playing with Boz Scaggs and Steve Miller. I became a fan ever since. The LP was not in good shape after so many years... now I finally have an impeccable CD-version.
