Clever and Fun, an Enjoyable Read,

This review is from: Doctor Doom and the Masters of Evil (Paperback)
This mini series of four collected comic books gathers the Sinister Six, with the Circus of Crime, Magneto, Blastaar, Sentinels, the mutant witch Selene, Thanos, and a handful of other familiar famous and not-so-famous villains of the Marvel Universe, with Doctor Doom being the head bad guy through to the end. There is some marvelous art, a little more cartoony than typical Marvel fare but it works really well here. However, some pages appear a little inconsistent from the rest(different artists), so that's why it gets downgraded from a full five star rating. The story is from the Marvel All-Ages line, so it's not as gritty or violent or dark as some modern comics, and it actually contains quite a lot of clever, whimsical humor. The addition of Princess Python as Doctor Doom's muse was an amusing touch. And the ending won't be what you expect, even though it ends up being a tad anti-climatic. Overall a fun read and an worthwhile addition to any young or old Marvelite's trade library.
