4.0 out of 5 stars dr. heidegger's experiment, January 17, 2007
This review is from: Doctor Heidegger's Ex (Konemann Classics) (Hardcover)
This story is one of those stories that you can imagine as movies. I think it's really interesting, because it does seem really mysterious at times. What I like the most is that it kind of reminds me of the Indiana Jones movie, because they both have some kind of potion that could rejuvenate one's body and age. Dr. Heidegger's Experiment is a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne, about a scientist who finds the Fountain of Youth. Calling four old friends together, he show them its power by dipping a 55 year old rose blossom in the water. They test them and the outcomes are very intriguing. The way they act really reveal essential themes.

I would recommend this book, if you like watching movies in general, because I really liked the plot.
