Publication Date: March 1, 2004 | Series: Doctor Who
Since 1999, Big Finish Productions has produced regular, fully-licensed ongoing audio adventures for the Doctor and his companions. Doctor Who: The New Audio Adventures is a no-holds-barred account of the making of every Big Finish Doctor Who play, from 1999's The Sirens of Time to 2003's anniversary special, Zagreus. Within the pages of this official and authoritative publication are all-new interviews with over 100 actors, writers, directors, producers, and other contributors, plus a plethora of previously unseen photographs.
This review is from: Doctor Who: The New Audio Adventures: The Inside Story (Hardcover)
This is so much more than a mere behind the scenes book. Contains a great wealth of info on Big Finish and their work on Doctor Who. There are many interviews with cast members, and the people who write/create the Big Finish stories. Each audio 'adventure' gets good coverage, with my favorites being the trivia and the deleted scenes sections.
Russell T.Davies provides a foreword, and Paul McGann the afterword. The book is oversized, and is about 280 pages. About the only drawback I can think of is the fact that ALL the photographs are in black and white only. Otherwise, a fun and informative guide to Big Finish's Doctor Who audios. :D
