Fun toy, but small fingers are required for assembly,

OK, I realize this is a toy, and that it was designed to be put together by a child's small fingers. But as an adult Doctor Who collector, I had some trouble with it. This is my first build-your-own toy from Character Building (apparently, a British version of Lego toys), and I was amazed at the number of small pieces included. The stickers, though very atractive and required to complete the TARDIS, were problematic as well. Thankfully, a few extras were included for those who, like myself, are inclined to make mistakes.Anyway, it's a nice TARDIS replica, and the Doctor and Amy figures are just adorable. He even has a tiny little sonic screwdriver. I look forward to collecting the other figures in the set, but haven't decided if I want any more playsets. If you are a collector, or have a child who enjoys the show, I think this is a pretty good item overall.

The TARDIS + the Doctor + Amy... it seems like every Who fan's dream. The set is very well put together, though it's very apparent that the set does not have the same quality as a Lego product. My main disappointment with this set is the fact that it costs between $20 - 30, but it feels like it's more of a $10 - 15 set.Looking at the set itself, I don't like that there are so many stickers and that the TARDIS doors and roof are basically just single pieces. There are several well-built unofficial Lego TARDIS's out there that it is a shame that the official set is so simple. That said, I'd probably buy it again, if for no other reason than I love Doctor Who. I hope for the day when there is an official Lego Who TARDIS.

My son got this for Christmas. We put it together as a team and had a great time doing so. It was very easy and the instructions were mostly clear once I realized that the grey blocks in the instructions were the ones assembled in the previous steps. The size was just about what I was expecting, but I had read the reviews ahead of time, so I guess I was prepared. In fact, we already have a 12 inch Tardis, so this three or so inch one is a nice compliment to it. Put together it looks really good. Like Lego men, the Doctor and Amy can be separated into head, legs, and torso. My son has had lots of fun rearranging body parts (my household is a little odd). Overall I have no complaints. The price is a bit steep for the size in my opinion, but it is a great toy.

I watched Dr. Who as a kid on the local PBS station and now watch the new series with my wife and 12 yr old daughter. My daughter really likes it so for her birthday we got her this set. She loves Legos and these toys parts can be interchanged with them. Overall great. The characters are cute and it is neat to have your own TARDIS. The only real issue, and its a minor one, is the doors. They do open and close, however, the opening is the easy part. To close the doors on her tardis, most of the time, you end up taking the roof off to reach in and push them shut. A little extra piece of plastic sticking out on each door would be nice, to give you something to grab to pull the door shut.

My 12 year old daughter is really into legos right now, and is a big fan of Doctor Who. We saw these advertised on BBC America and we ordered them to add to her Lego village she is building. They fit in well with legos, and provide a creative twist to other sets.

I picked one of these up at San Diego Comic Con 2011 because it looked cute and I loved the idea of a LEGO-like TARDIS. Well, this stuff may be compatible, but it sure isn't LEGO. The main problem with it (and something that isn't evident from looking at the box) is that the details on the TARDIS pieces are not silk screened on like you'd find with LEGO. You just get a sheet of cheap little stickers. Luckily there are some duplicates included because there's no way you could apply them all correctly the first time without a magnifying glass, tweezers and a good deal of patience. If you look at the third picture of the TARDIS you can actually see one of the stickers starting to peel off! Yeah, that's going to happen even if it's just sitting on your desk, trust me.On the plus side however, the minifigures are very cool and I'm tempted to buy more of those. They are about the same scale as the classic LEGO minifigs, maybe a tad smaller. If this set was a little cheaper I would give it four stars but as it stands I think these are overpriced.

I want to make stop motion Doctor Who Lego videos, and I was missing a TARDIS, so I came here. I think its a bit overpriced, but hey, still worth every penny, considering I can't find them in American stores.I don't like the minifigures, (die hard Lego fan) but hey, I got a police box with opening doors, what more is there to ask for (besides an extra sheet of stickers?) My other complaint is the photo of the "interior." I think it would have been better to show the console. In any case, I look forward to buying the "full" TARDIS set with the interior. 5 stars just for the police box!!!

Yes, this is small, but I was not expecting anything large. I bought this for my 10 YO DD who is a Doctor Who fan. She had fun putting it together and it is part of her Doctor Who collection. I wouldn't imagine there are any fans out there young enough to want to put the pieces in their mouth, but I suppose if there were younger siblings around it would be a concern. I think it's adorable and the little Doctor and Amy are sweet!

What do you give for a 31st wedding aniversary? I gave my wife gold jewelry and I got the Doctor, Amy, and a Tardis! We were both delighted. It has cemented my status as the professor with the best office toys on campus. Before ordering, my wife was a bit worried because of the reviews complaining about the difficulty in putting the Tardis together. People, get a grip! My big, fat, 50 plus year old hands put it together in less than ten minutes, and I haven't played with Legos in years. I'm sure that any five year old on the planet could have whipped the sucker together in less than five minutes. It is a fun set and now my family has knows what to get me for Father's Day, my birthday, next Christmas, etc.

This is constructed well enough, but if you open the doors, you need to take it apart to close them again. This is mainly to be used as a prop, and nothing more. If you want a TARDIS playset, Character Building also offers a Control Room to put your figures to action. This is fully 100% compatible with Lego, so drop this into whatever set you have and expand your fun by a thousand percent! Do you have a Lego Kingdoms set? BOOM! There's the Doctor, off to join the Crusades! Got a city set? BOOM! The Doctor shows up out of nowhere to save the day! Or recreate your favorite scene fom Series 6's "Curse of the Black Spot" by adding this to the Black Pearl or Queen Anne's Revenge Lego set from "Pirates of the Caribbean!
