This review is from: Doctor Who Files: the Cybermen (Dr Who Files) (Hardcover)
I had read other peoples reviews of this series of books , and they were fairly mixed . I thought I would take a chance and try one of the books out since they are dirt cheap , I gotta say I agree with the bad reviews and regret wasting the less than $4 I spent ( including shipping ) .

As good as some of the new doctor who series are , they will never be as GREAT as the old ones . Likewise this series of books seems to cater to short attention spans , and does to doctor who what Star Wars episode one did to star wars with the dumbing down of the series .

This series is apparently primarily geared toward children , and leaves the vetran Doctor Who fan feeling let down . If you are looking for a book for your children , maybe this book is ok , if you are looking for a book for your self , try this one instead : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0352327383/ref=ox_ya_oh_product .

And keep in mind that this book ONLY has information regarding the cybermen's most recent appearance in the Doctor Who series , and ignores the entire rest of their past story lines which I had thought they would at least reference since the word "files" is in the title .
