4.0 out of 5 stars I've got a Hex with you, March 4, 2009

This review is from: Doctor Who: The Harvest (Big Finish Audio) (Audio CD)
The 7th Doctor adventure The Harvest brings us an old foe, the Cybermen while introducing a new friend. Hex, a young medical student, to the ranks of the Doctor's companions.

I come to this audio after hearing quite a few adventures with Hex in the lineup. I like the character and I like the actor Philip Oliver. This adventure did nothing but reinforce those feelings.

The character of Hex gives all the proper reactions and takes us through the wonder and the horror of the Doctor's adventures and what it means.

Sophie Aldred is her usual fine self not going by Ace but by her last name McShane. The two of them Hex and Ace dominate the first episode the doctor only showing up at the very end of episode one.

The meat and potatoes come in episode 3 as we see the Cybermen as the force behind all that is going on, but with a twist. The Cybermen want to re-discover a part of their humanity. The Doctor is amazed at the possibility that even the Cybermen can progress, or can they?

How will it all end? You are under $20 away from finding out.
