Doctor Who - 12" Martha Jones Action Figure

Bought this for my daughter. She's a huge Doctor Who fan. The clothes are very nice and well made. The doll is pretty articulated as well. I think I counted 21 points of articulation. Very nice head sculpt as well. One of her favorite dolls now.

This figure is VERY well made and the articulation is far better than many 12 inch figures. The clothes are of very high quality. I am extremely please with this figure. The ONLY negative comment I have is that they used BLACK plastic for the hips rather than matching the rest of the figure. This is a small matter unless you wish to change her into a bikini. But still, this part should match the rest. Again, she is a FINE addition to my Doctor WHO world.

Our grandson wanted a Martha Jones Action figure, but was embarrased to have one "so big". I contacted the Amazon Store where we made the purchase,and they said there wouldn't be any problem exchanging. I look forward to our grandson having the "correct size" action figure. Our grandson wanted this action figure for collection, not playing.

I don't quite know how I'm going to explain as a grown man having this to visitors but Whovians will understand. Martha is the only 12" companion figure I know o fbut she is also my favorite so I couldn't resist adding her to my collection along with the 12" "Almost Tennant" figure, and several others. But she is so finely made and so well detailed she could be a "Black Barbie" fashion doll for any girl, Doctor Who fan or not. It's a good likeness in the face and wonderful touches like leather-like jacket, denim jeans and inticate touches like (nonremoveable) jewelry. The one thing that might disapoint a young girl is that the hair is molded plastic. Other than that it's a brilliant way to remember my favorite of the Doctor's companions. NOTE: One caveat is the absolutely ridiculous practice that BBC/character-options.co.uk has of wiring in their products. Some day a child or pet will choke to death on the sharp wires (some of them very small) used to wire these products into the box. This is so frustrating and dangerous it takes away much of the fun of receiving these gifts. If you have children or pets be very careful. And write to have BBC and character-options stop this practice.
