Omnibus Volume 2 is a very nice collection for Doctor Who fans who are perhaps unfamiliar with the comic book adventures. The stories are all well written and entertaining. The artwork varies from story to story, but I enjoy comparing different art styles so for me that was not a problem.
This book reads like an extension of Series 4 and fits into a very specific point within the show. "The Fugitive", "Tesseract", and "Final Sacrifice" all occur between the television episodes "Planet of the Dead" and "Waters of Mars". These stories introduce a new set of companions that did not make an appearance on the show, though Martha Jones is featured in one story. After that there are some single shot stories, concluding the book with "A Fairytale Life" featuring the 11th Doctor and Amy. It might seem a little strange at first that a book featuring the 10th Doctor concludes with the 11th, but given how dark the 10th Doctor's story ends, a goofy adventure with #11 is actually a welcome breath of fresh air.
I don't like to play favorites, but I think I'll always have a fondness for the 10th Doctor. Anyone who feels the same way should give this book a try.
