pretty cool little collection of stories, August 26, 2010
This review is from: Doctor Who Stories (Dr Who Boxed Set) (Hardcover)
A little disclaimer here. The stories presented in this book maybe a little 'simple' for some adult Doctor Who fans, but that doesn't make this collection any less fun to read.
"Doctor Who Stories" is a collection of....uh....stories, that first were published in various 'Doctor Who Files' books(each focused on a different DW character). This book reprints the following:
The Hero Factor, Stamp of Approval, No Fun At The Fair, The Final Darkness, Taking Mickey, A Dog's Life, Mission to Galacton, Going Off The Rails, Needle Point, Best Friends, Brith of a Legend, The Secret of the Stones, Blind Terror, Disappearing Act, and Speech Day
What is really fun though is that "Disappearing Act" is a Donna Noble story, and is actually a previously unpublished adventure(poor Donna never got a 'Doctor Who Files' book of her own). Fans of the Doctor's enemy the Master should also enjoy "Speech Day", which is a well-written story about how the Master managed to get elected as....well, don't want to spoil too much for you. :)
The book is a really nice hardcover with an attached ribbon bookmark, housed inside a very sturdy slipcase. I'd definitely recommend this to Doctor Who fans.
