5.0 out of 5 stars Great but some flaws you need to know about June 13, 2012
First of all, I'm giving it 5 stars simply because it does the job of holding cookies and the sounds work.

Now onto the problems:

The unit I got had a broken Chameleon Circuit, so it seems stuck in the shape of a blue police box. I was also very disappointed to learn that it is not bigger on the inside, therefore it can only hold a single batch of cookies. I can't even fit a baby pool in there! Also, despite the description, it cannot fly through time and space. This I will let slide, as I don't want my cookies going away.

Its just important people know what they're getting.

5.0 out of 5 stars The coolest cookie jar ever November 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is, HANDS DOWN, the coolest cookie jar ever. I love it to bits and pieces, especially when there are cookies inside. :) It's well-made and sturdy, despite being plastic, and very authentic-looking. I've gotten many compliments on it from my like-minded, geeky friends who know what it is. The sound effect is very realistic, and it turns on after you close the top, so it's almost like the TARDIS is going to disappear with all the cookies! But it doesn't, so that's good. I bought it as a housewarming present for myself and my sister. It was sort of expensive, but I don't regret spending the money. An added bonus of the sound effect is that you can hear when anyone else takes a cookie!

I received this as a Christmas present from a good friend (a friend who, although very high in my estimation beforehand, went up a quite a bit more after I opened up the box and saw the TARDIS cookie jar) and it is the coolest thing in the world...and beyond. Although made of plastic, it's quite sturdy and well-made, not to mention detailed and well-modeled. The actual container pulls out for easy cleaning, which makes this more than just a decorative cookie jar but a useful one as well. The best part, though, is the sound effect heard when you close the lid or when the lantern on top is pressed, that wonderful whooshing sound signaling the take-off of the Doctor's TARDIS. I confess, I get into the cookie jar frequently, not to get a cookie but just to have it make that noise; it makes me smile every time. The best part is that there is no possibility of cookie theft with the TARDIS cookie jar. No way can you hide your cookie-stealing habits with that distinctive sound conveniently warning others of your activities.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome
Great gift for a Dr Who fan like my boyfriend. The inside cup comes out so it actually very easy to wash, also is just about the right size and shape to be a pen and pencil holder

I somehow missed that this item is a plastic material. It is still pretty cool, but I thought is was ceramic, and maybe it is less likely to break, but for the price, I still... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Insides almost as tasty as David Tennant (well, maybe not that yummy:)
Fits a surprising quantity of cookies (bigger on the inside?), super cute and really great sound/light effects. It is plastic, but does not feel overly cheap or anything. Read more

Really nice cookie jar, I put small size candy bars in it too. It works great and does the tardis sound and light when open and close the top.
