This picture is deceiving, the object does not look anything like it! It is just a cheap blue metal ...thing, the windows are NOT white, there is no detail, it's just a very heavy metal unidentified object!
And I mean weapon heavy! I was hoping for a cool little key chain, you can't carry this with your keys, you'll need a chiropractor!
I have no idea what emergency funds they thought of, there is no way you can fold any bills in there ( unless you're an origami expert!)
Hello, is there anybody out there can can actually make a cool little keychain for Dr Who fans?!

I was shocked when I recieved this item,
For some reason I expected it to be plastic but when it arrived I saw it was a HEAVY chunk of blue METAL.
This is truely heavy and too bulky to carry around in your pocket. To heavy and dangerous to hang on your cars rear view window.
There is no detail.....NONE.

The whole thing is painted solid blue.
Yes, it is shaped like the Tardis but that's it.
The windows are not white they are solid blue.
There is no sign on the front door.
Is this is someones idea of a joke or are Doctor Who fans so ravenish that they are expected to buy poorly designed facsimilies of well known objects.

In addition, this key ring is listed in the toy section and it is not a toy, packaging tell you not for small children, "choaking hazard".
Amazon allows items to be listed in the toy section when they are not toys so you have no way of knowing if it is child safe or not until you get it home.

This is a very impractical Tardis key chain.
For the money it should have been made of plastic had white windows, a sign on the door, clear blue plastic to represent the light on top. and had either a light or sound effect.
Viewing it on those terms This is a rip off, It offers nothing extra.
The money chamber idea is nice but who wants to carry a heavy vault around in their pocket?

Buy it as a collectors item but NO ONE is going to find this cold heavy piece of metal with multiple corners comfortable enough to carry around in either your purse or your pocket.
This is one ridiculous item that was not well thought out.
It's like walking around with a pad lock in your pocket.

PROS:
1. If you drop it you will know it right away
2.

I'd found this keyfob at a different website first and knew exactly what I was getting. Please listen to everyone, the TARDIS is completely blue. See the additional picture I added for an accurate picture.

To best fold a dollar, fold it in thirds long-ways and then roll.

It's a metal, die-cast keyfob, so it is hefty.

Know before you buy, and hopefully you'll love it as much as I do!
-------UPDATE TWO YEARS LATER--------

Just FYI, I'm still using and loving my TARDIS key chain. Yes, I use it for my keys. I only have 2 keys and can easily fold them "in half" against the TARDIS and put them in a jeans pocket. Admittedly, it's easier to carry in a jacket pocket or purse. But I have to say, in a purse, my keys are really easy to find!

Again, hope you're informed and can love it, too!

There are three problems with this key chain:

1. It is EXTREMELY heavy for a key chain. It is heavier than my cell phone! It weighs about as much as a roll of coins. You probably won't want to lug it around in your pocket.

2. The photograph is a lie. The item pictured shows painted windows and sign detail on the door. The item received was simply spray painted blue and did not have any detail. For example, the windows are not colored in and there is no sign on the door like the "real" Tardis on the show.

3. The base is insecure. There is a thin rubber O-ring holding the heavy base in place. I do not feel comfortable placing money inside this key chain, because I can totally see the bottom falling out. Oh, there goes my 20 dollars, thanks guys.

The toy is made by [...] and is Made in China. The package says, "THIS IS NOT A TOY." Really? Could have fooled me. This product was an extreme disappointment. It should have a screw-on base, or some kind of spring locking mechanism to make the base secure. After all, they expect you to carry money in it! It also should be a lot less weight. Nobody would ever use this as a key chain. It's a paperweight.

In the picture you see a fairly correct duplication of the Doctors fantastic TARDIS, yet when you receive this TARDIS is painted blue and the only detail on it are the door handles (which of course are blue). It is not too difficult to store a bill or two in (once you find the best way to roll/fold them), and I have found it sone what useful. I have noticed a few complaints about the weight of this item, but I have no trouble with it. I had some paints at home also so I was able to add some detail to it myself and now it looks great!

As others have said, this is plain blue metal. The edges chip pretty easily and I was worried at first that it would look bad in the long run, but in the end it just has a metallic gleam at the corners, which doesn't look bad. The biggest problem is that the base slides in with just a rubber seal to keep it in place. If you are walking with your keys, the base WILL fall out. I got in the habit of trying to keep my thumb on the base if I had my keys in my hand while walking, but after losing it and finding it a few times I finally lost it (and my stash of cash) for good. I would LOVE this if it had a screw-in base -- then it would really be secure enough to keep money or even pills in.
