This review is from: Doctor Who: The Shadow of Weng-Chiang (The Missing Adventures) (Paperback)
Shanghai. 1930's. The Japanese Empire. The Tongs. China ripped apart by war, crime and greed. The Forth Doctor. Now add gunfights, explosions and K9. Sounds like a movie trailer, right? The BEST movie trailer EVER. And this Missing Adventure is one of the best ever. This story is set between The Stones of Blood and The Androids of Tara. The Doctor and Romana (1) and K9 come back to Earth because the fourth segment of Key seems to be here. At least the equipment says it is. So they explore opium dens, dark alleys and the city's illegal clubs to try to solve the mystery of why the Key is and isn't here. It seems the story involves the future far, shadowy organizations and the Dragon Pathways. A must for any Doctor Who collection.
