The west coast is in full effect on this record! This album is a big f.u. to anyone who said he needed 50 or dre. While it isnt the classic that the documentary was, it does not disappoint. Game comes w/ that ol' fashion gansta funk on hard hitters like "compton", "one blood", and the snoop & xzibit callabo "california vacation". One track in particular that stood out to me was the bust rhymes assisted title track, in which game pours his heart out to his former mentor, and gives us a little insight on what went wrong between the 2. Overall i totally recommend this album, as a matter of fact, the only reason i subtracted a star was for the constant name dropping, and his almost stalker-like obsession with the good doctor.

This album Doctor's Advocate is the Bomb. I liked The Documentary but this album is something you should have if your a fan of Game. Most of the songs in this album have slow beats but the lyrics are great and they don't sound boring like some of the songs in Documentary. The best thing is he did this album without a single help from Anyone!!!!(Signed with new Label) His songs also gotta a new style, more better with people like Nas, Busta Rhymes, and Snoop Dogg in them. His songs with 50 Cent were all the same style.

Yep it pretty much sounds like a continuation of The Documentary which actually isn't a bad thing for a sophmore joint. I mean most fans were at the very least expecting GAME to keep it as raw and tight as the first one and Doctor's Advocate does that and more. Leaving G-Unit and Aftermath was actually a great thing for him. He doesn't need to be pigeonholed into thinking DRE was the sole reason for his success and he definitely doesn't need to be associated with a weak mob like G-Unit (How good is that money looking now Mobb Deep. You not only sold your soul but have lost your following messing with 50 da rat). Hopefully Young Buck will have enough sense to get outta there and go independent.

However, it's usually by the third release where the fans are gonna start wondering when the artist is gonna kick some real sh@$$%t? I mean droppin real life joints beacause there are a plethora of issues not only in all our hoods everyday, but issues young black males still have to overcome daily. That's is what seperated 2PAC from everyone else is the fact that he could keep it gangsta, he could keep it club, he could keep it politically incorrect, but most of all, he could keep it real with our folks, male and female alike without droppin jokers names all over his record like that 50 cent rat drops dimes. Hip Hop has always been about braggadacio and bravado since it's inception and will never change. However, at some point, an artists longetivity will be determined by whether he change up his albums without losing his loyal following. Whether he or she can make us feel his or her pain and struggles or is the artist rappin about somebody else's and we see right through him as a wannabe. Or if the artists will just continue putting out the same ole same ole just to collect some bucks and look for mainstream radio airplay. Age also will determine that as well. Most rappers that hit their mid-thirties just aren't as angry, nor are they as hungry as they were coming into the business. GAME has to make sure that he doesn't fall into that category of just rappin repeatedly about himself, his riches, giving too much props to DRE and other artists repeatedly and most important break outta that diss game which can just as easily ruin a career as it can jump start one. It was absolutely a pleasure watching him dismantle G-Unit almost singlehandedly (Fat Joe, Scarface, and I'm sure Jada later on have put their hammer down on them already). Other than that, this joint is vicious and hope GAME keeps choosing quality production and keeps honing his skills to get better and better with each outing.

PROS.THE GAME IS A GREAT MC WHO HAS A GOOD FUTURE IN HIP HOP!THIS ALBUM HAD ALOT OF GOOD BEATS,AND HIS DELIVERY WAS NOT BAD,NOT BAD AT ALL!

CONS.THE GAME MUST LEARN TO STOP SAYING DR DRE,64'S,COMPTON, AND DAYTONS ON EVERY SONG AND EVERY VERSE! WE ALL NO HE'S FROM THE WEST COAST,THE LAST ALBUM MADE IT VERY CLEAR.

IN ALL.THIS WAS A GOOD ALBUM,THE GUEST APPERANCES WAS WELL APPRECITATED! GOOD WEST COAST ALBUM TO BUY!

I just heard the CD a few days ago, and it is serious as a heart attack. There is no doubt this CD is what hip hop is suppose to be. If it is not a classic, then it is real close to being one. Well have to wait and see. I hadn't heard The Documentary before i heard this one, but after i did, i didn't even want to mess with it after i did hear it cause Doctor's Advocate is so nice. His flow, wordplay, and delivery has gotten better since Documentary. The CD is so nice, that the song "One Blood" is only a decent song and not one of the best. For most of these so called rappers out here, that song would be there best. He is not only the aire to the Aftermath dynasty, but will carry them and the rest of the West Coast into the next decade if he keeps this up. The only negatives on the CD for me is him mentioning the West Coast so much like we don't already know where he's from, and throwing Dr. Dre's name many times thru out the CD. Overall, this CD is a must buy cause it is the real deal and he is the truth.

This album is so good!! When I first put this CD I knew right away that this CD was gonna be amazing. At first, I thought I was listening to like an old Deathrow Records release which is tight. Then listening closer I was like is that Dr. Dre rapping?? He really sounds a lot like him but still unique and different in his own way. The only track that I could do without is "Scream on Em". Game is still good on the track but the music is just kinda wack. I cannot stand Swizz Beatz that guy is an awful producer.

N.W.A., Above The Law, Ice-T, Tha Dogg Pound, South Central Cartel, W.C. And Tha Madd Circle... This is what the Doctor's Advocate invokes in you. From the depths of your gut the terror gang warfare that flooded the media in the late 80's and early 90's. This album is without a doubt, the best album by a West Coast artist since 2Pac's All Eyes On Me. Interscope Records, you're fools. 50 Cent, you're a fool. Dr. Dre, you're a fool, Big Face One Hunned, you're a fool. Dr. Dre has spent an entire career stealing art from others, remixing it, and calling it his own. Honestly, Dr. Dre isn't the best producer in hip-hop. He's not even the best producer in California. DJ Quik, Jelly Roll, Rick Rock, Studio Tone, Mike Mosely, E-A-Ski, Ant Banks, Fred Wreck, Battlecat, Kharee, etc. are more original and superior musicians. The Game didn't need a Dr. Dre track for this album. However, a Game album would have stopped the recent losing streak suffered by Aftermath and G-Unit artists. This album is an instant classic and quite possibly capable of doing 5-8 million in sales worldwide. The Game ain't going nowhere and "Big" Snoop Dogg should be happy that The Game resurrected his less than worthwhile career by giving the puppy his bark back.

THE GAME'S SECOND ALBUM IS THE BEST RAP ALBUM EVER. IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT THEN GO GET IT.

Definately some classic joints on this album. The Game proved that he can do it with or without Dre and he damn sure don't need 50's help. I look forward to his next album.

not a bad song on the cd....buy it if you truly love him! you won't be disappointed!
