Unbelievable Crimes!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Doctors of Death (Paperback)
This book contains 10 true stories about doctors,
who for one reason or another commit murder. In most of the cases the victim is usually someone
very close to the killer. The details in the book
are just enough and not overly told. When you
finish with one story, you can't wait to go to the next one. It's very easy reading and well written.

8 pages of photos + Many stories I've never read before + Read like a tabloid newspaper + Few investigation facts = 3 stars,
This review is from: Doctors of Death (Paperback)
THE GOOD
- The best thing about this book is it contains 8 pages of photos of some killer doctors, their victims and crime scenes. - Most of the stories, 8 out of 10, are new to me. I've never read them before. Some of them are terrifying and boiling with emotion. For example, in "Play God", Dr. Dale Caveness killed his own son. In "Ever Lasting Death", Dr. Geza de Kaplany burnt 40 percent of his wife's body with acid while she's alive out of jealousy. In "How Love Turned...", Dr. Fouad Talabani brutally killed his wife, Freya. Then he mutilated her private part. THE BAD - It covers 10 doctors in 220 pages. That is about 22 pages per story. That should be long enough to describe substantial details. However they read more like a tabloid magazine than a typical true crime book. Even the author admitted in his Foreword section on page 10 that "All these stories have been adapted to read as near to fiction as possible...." For example, in "Death by Injection", he spent 3 pages to describe in vivid details how doctor Paul Vickers made love to his lover, three days after his wife death. Then in just 3 lines of text at the end of this story, he told us Dr. Vickers and his lover, Collison was charged with murdering Vickers' wife! The author did not say how the police arrived at that conclusion. It's very frustrating. If you're looking for sensational and emotional crime accounts, you'll find them here. If you're also wanting to know investigation details that helped police nab the killers, you'll be partially disappointed. In short, this book is worth reading but not work keeping.

Don't marry a doctor!,
By Katharina Katt "whtdoveqv" (Glendale, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Doctors of Death (Paperback)
This book gave me the shivers and I'm not sure I'll look at my family doctor the same. All I can say is DON'T MARRY A DOCTOR! No matter what. No way! Don't do it!
Past that this is a great book and I highly recommend it. I'll be retelling the stories to my friends and family for years to come!
