The Doctor's Private Visit is a wonderfully fun and fantastic story about two people not exactly looking for love. But fate sort of throws them together and it's fun to watch these two irresistable people try to avoid the inevitable..It's fun, it's sexy, and it's a fantastic read. I highly recommend it. As always AlTonya Washington does NOT disappoint.

I'm an avid fan of this author. However, I felt this selection was not one of her best. After reading the Ramsey series I found this book lacking and not a true reflection of the authors talent.

I DEFINITELY enjoy watching Tiberius and Capri struggle to fight their INTENSE mutual attraction, while spending quality time together on a personal and professional level...I also LOVE that they become friends FIRST...a SEXY and fun romantic treat.

Capri Timmons was more than anxious to leave city living behind in Miami and settle into quiet living in the suburbs, but she never imagined she would have an opportunity to live in a beautiful home in the suburbs that would include more than a view in AlTonya Washington's The Doctor's Private Visit.

Tiberius Evans was more than Capri's landlord who lived next door; he was also a respected gynecologist and notorious for getting a woman and not staying with her for very long. However, he was not able to help himself when it came to Capri, sensing the need to protect her beyond what any landlord felt obligated to do.

A friendship grew between Capri and Tiberius, and the attraction to one another did as well, both finding excuses to spend time together professionally and secretly. Capri behind her camera lens, and Tiberius' love for new life, combined with what seemed inevitable between the two, was the perfect mix for a relationship to take root and grow.

Will Tiberius find a way to give up his womanizing ways for a chance at true love? Can Capri throw caution to the wind and allow her heart, instead of family tradition, to help her in her decision concerning Tiberius?
I enjoyed reading The Doctor's Private Visit and I recommend this book to readers of romance.

I re-discovered an author I hadn't read in years. Altonya Washington. I'd forgotten how well she writes. She's also a homegirl so its all good that I can support my local talent. I must add her to my list of favorite authors and catch up by reading her Ramsey series of books.

Capri and Tiberius (Tibe) are the perfect couple bcz they're such a natural fit. Both are young, attractive, and dog lovers. After Altonya plants a seed with their initial meeting, she then waters that seed with "friends in common", "living next door", "common interests", etc. The pace was believable with lots of humor and fervour along the way.

While Capri was determined to stick to her "plan" about falling in love, Tibe was the complete opposite bcz he wasn't looking for love at all. Tibe was a big "playa". But, you know how it goes, the bigger the playa the harder they fall, right?

The story flows so naturally, I mean, even their dogs, Lewey and Droopy are sniffing each other. No surprise the two fall in love. But, can Tibe hang in there when he learns of Capri's "plan". Maybe. Maybe not. But certain things don't help -- like Capri's new admirer or Tibe's former lover/tenant.

Will Capri alter her "plan" and show Tibe how deeply she cares for him? Is Tibe capable of committing himself to a woman? Read and find out ...

Ms Washington does not disappoint in this tale of neighbours who become friends then lovers. Capri Simmons believes she is holding up family tradition by saving herself for marriage. However temptation steps in when she meets handsome, sexy Dr Tiberius Evans who is cynical abut commitment (due to a family filled with divorcees) but upfront with women about what he is willing to offer, sex, sex and more sex. Both are challenged to rethink their attitude to relationsips as the sparks fly. I loved that this book did not have them declaring their love and running down the aisle at the drop of a hat, but had a realistic, romantic, sexy plot that you can envision happening to anyone in the real world. Good secondary characters, would love to read how Riva and Rod got together and funny Pepper deserves her own story.

Capri Timmons is a talented photographer in the busy city of Miami. While she enjoys her job, she's longing for a sense of tranquility at quitting time. She decides to leave the hectic and fast paced city life behind for the serenity of the suburbs. She discusses her wishes with a friend and coworker, who informs her of someone she can rent a home from. Little does she know her new neighbor and renter is a tall, sexy and alluring doctor. Dr. Tiberius Evans has never met a woman who can resist his charms. However when he meets his new neighbor and tenant, he gets more than he bargains for. Can he charm her into submission or will she be able to resist his charm?

THE DOCTOR'S PRIVATE VISIT by Alontya Washington is a steamy tale of an unexpected love for both characters. She spins a tale of sexiness and passion, told with an elegant flair. A quick read that left me wanting more, once I finished reading.
