This is a book about communication between physicians and patients in the medical interaction. What I love most about this book is that it is completely based on research (much of which was conducted by the authors). It is a fascinating look at what factors are related to the quality of interactions (such as patient and physician's gender and age), as well as the effects of physician-patient interactions on patient health and satisfaction. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in this aspect of healthcare communication.

After I read this book I realise how little patients tell and how much less we need to talk, so we can hear more. Worth a read .Serious thought provoking ideas. Dr Nagi
