The Doctor's Wife,

This review is from: The Doctor's Wife (Indigo) (Mass Market Paperback)
This story was about how a middle aged happily married doctor got caught up with a nurse on the job because she built up his ego. She was determined to get him no matter what and took desperate measures to get him in her bed and in her life. What she did is amazing but how his wife handled it made this a amazing story. Don't know if I could have taken the high road like his ex-wife did in this story but true love will and can make you do some strange things.

This is one of the worst books I've ever read. The story was weak, poorly written and unbelievable. The male lead was so gullible and stupid I found it hard to believe this was a 50 year old doctor. The story had no real depth and conveniently tied everything together at the end to make for a unbelievably sappy ending. Save your money and time.

Donovan and Leanne Matthews shared twenty-five solid years of wedded bliss. While Don worked diligently at his medical practice, Lee cared for her family and filled their home with love and happiness. So when out of the blue Don approaches her with a devastating stab to the heart, all that was happy and full of joy is now sadness and gloom. DIVORCE!!! Leanne's world crumbles after Don blatantly tells her he's divorcing her for another woman. In THE DOCTOR'S WIFE the story line is a situation that can happen to anyone. Ms. Riley spins a web of deceit, lust, heartbreak, and forgiveness. She took her time developing the anguish and hurt Lee felt, allowing me to feel it too. The strategy of deceit was a clever plan, which made the outcome intriguing. There were several characters and they all intertwined smoothly offering an enjoyable read. Although the dramatic ending was foreseeable, it didn't lessen the impact of the story. Reviewed by Sharon Lewis of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

A MATURE storyline that touches on quite a few INTERESTING social issues...and even though it's a bit slow at times....I still find it INTRIGUING enough to keep me turning the pages just to discover the outcome for Donovan and Leanne Matthews...IMHO it's just an OKAY read.
