About the Author

El Rvdo. P. C. (Peter Christopher) Nelson (1864-1942) fundó el Colegio Bíblico Southwestern en 1927 en Enid, Oklahoma. Hijo de inmigrantes daneses, Nelson recibió la Licencia para predicar a los 21 años y terminó sus estudios superiores en el Seminario Teológico de Rochester en 1899. Durante varios años se dedicó al evangelismo y al trabajo pastoral como ministro bautista. Después de la Primera Guerra Mundial se convirtió en el pastor de la iglesia bautista Conley Memorial, en Detroit, Michigan. Sin embargo, una experiencia de sanidad le abrió el corazón al movimiento pentecostal. Puesto que su iglesia bautista rechazaba la sanidad divina, renunció al pastorado y se convirtió en evangelista itinerante. Se unió a las Asambleas de Dios y trabajó en el desarrollo de programas de entrenamiento bíblico para jóvenes.
