This review is from: The Doctrine and Practice of Yoga (Kindle Edition)
I downloaded this because it was inexpensive and I've been doing some reading on yoga. I liked it very much. It's very basic so probably not of interest to long time practitioners. I loved it. It's motivational. It's easy reading (mostly) and explained many concepts in as clear a manner as possible when you consider the subject matter. It's not for everyone. This is for beginners and those interested in basic yoga ideas and how to get started. This is NOT about how to do yoga postures. This is how to get started on a spiritual path to being a yogi by meditation, prayer, etc. There are beginner exercises on how to start controlling your body and your mind in a purposeful way. Swami Mukerji is straight forward but positive and encouraging. I like his style and am reading this again to glean more lessons from the material. This is well worth the price.
