Fun and thoughtful--at the same time!,

Sanders's Comix are certainly a co-mixing of light-hearted enjoyment and thoughtful examination. The comix appear to resort neither to legalistic dogmatism in fear of not sufficiently defending orthodoxy nor to a happy disregard of what the author believes to be true (nor to ambiguity of presentation) in fear of offending another and different sort of audience. It is an honest work. And, as in all comix, Dr. Doctrine offers a co-mixing of the visual and the verbal, pictures and words. Which is of course nice--since the Word Himself became enfleshed so we could see (and hear and smell and so forth) the picture of God. The medium itself offers a rare avenue--in this field at any rate--of learning and investigation. And the message is, well, of the best kind. Definietly worth reading!
