5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I had some reservations when I purchased this bookstand because of how cheap it was. But I have been very impressed with it.

It does a very good job holding pages. For instance, I can fit a 300 page hardcover or 400 page paperback. The clips slide in and out to adjust as well as have some flexibility. When you slide the clip in to hold a page, it doesn't...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works OK
Works just as advertised. Not sure how sturdy it will be in the long term.

I had some reservations when I purchased this bookstand because of how cheap it was. But I have been very impressed with it.

It does a very good job holding pages. For instance, I can fit a 300 page hardcover or 400 page paperback. The clips slide in and out to adjust as well as have some flexibility. When you slide the clip in to hold a page, it doesn't tend to slide back out because of the angle of the stress -- works great.

I also like that it is so lightweight and compact. I actually slide it into the outside pocket of my laptop bag and carry it with me. It's about 2 in. deep when it's folded up (11.25w x 9h). The page holder slides up and can easily accommodate an 8.5x11.

What I really like is that for this price, I could easily afford to have several of these to hold books when I'm writing and need to consult multiple texts. It doesn't hurt that the color matches the dark gray of my Dell products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable Book Stand, April 5, 2006
This review is from: Document/Task Manager, 2 Document Slots, Turquoise and Clear CEB31503 (Office Product)
I am a law student and typically prop my 1500+ page books on top of this stand. I am surprised at how great it works. For under 10 bucks, if you're looking for quality, go no further.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, February 16, 2006
This review is from: Document/Task Manager, 2 Document Slots, Turquoise and Clear CEB31503 (Office Product)
It's great to know that there all still companies who know how to make terrific products that take up little space and do what they're supposed to do. And for $8? You can't go wrong.

This outstanding little bookstand is about the best investment I've made in the last ten years. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed

PS: I'm able to mount 2" books on this stand if I open them up to the 40th page range

Just got it after using some search engines, so glad it is still available elsewhere! Something previous reviews didn't mention: the two clips are not on springs and are not slidable (you can move them like clock hands to control the angles, push in or pull out to adjust to book thickness), so if I open a 400-page book to p.40, for example, the left-hand clip may not hold the pages very stable, but they still work fine. The clips are 6.5 inches apart and may not work for very small books. It's rather light weight so it'd be easy to carry it around. Love it so far!

I too had concerns about buying these, they are so inexpensive. I just got them and wow! They work awesome and look just fine. Don't be concerned about the price, these are great. For the price, you can't expect more and I got the product in 3 days with normal shipping. I totally salute Corporate Express for selling this product at such a reasonable price and not gouging the customers. You guys rock!

This is a wonderful product. It folds up making it easy to store and it holds sheets of paper, as well as books, which is why I purchased it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Typing Book Stand, July 9, 2006
This review is from: Document/Task Manager, 2 Document Slots, Turquoise and Clear CEB31503 (Office Product)
This typing book stand was just what I had been looking for for some time. It keeps the book in place while I practice my typing on my typewriters which takes place just about every day. It has an adjustable back and two paper stabilizers on the front to hold the paper or book in place. It looks to be made very durable and I hope to have it around for some time.

This is a fantastic bookstand. I use it for my medical textbooks, one of which weighs a whopping 8 pounds, with no difficulty. (The page holders don't pop out that far, but I've found that with a tome that size, the pages stay open anyway!)

I got mine at Office Depot and will definitely go back and get another as soon as I can!

I saw exactly the same book stand on restockit dot com, but by Innovera brand - for $7. Or if you can't find it there - just google "Innovera book stand copyholder". Check it out - it's worth every penny![I bought mine by Avery brand two years ago, but it looks like they discontinued it.]

Great product! I've tried many others before, but this one is the best. I am a statistics student, so this book stand holds all my thick math books.
