So General it's Unusable,

Greetings,I have a 2002 Dodge Van. So few of the details listed in the manual actually match the vehicle that I found it almost useless. While Hayes makes a fine book, they try to blend so many vehicles that the details that you need in order to work on a specific vehicle are not there. In the past I have had many of the "Chilton's Manuals" for individual vehicles and been please with them. I thought their decendants, the "haynes Manuals" would be the same. Unfortunatly they are not. Regards, Rick B.

Haynes manual 2000 Dodge van a letdown,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dodge & Plymouth Vans 1971-2003 (Haynes Manuals) (Paperback)
Generally I have found Haynes manuals to be very helpful in car repair. However my purchase of the Haynes manual for my 2000 Dodge B1500 Ram Conversion was a letdown. I have found it to be so generic one would have been better to buy a off the shelf self help repair manual for any internal combustion engine.I did not find the necessary electrical schematics for the 2000 B1500 van, nor a diagram of the fuse box for the van. The trouble shooting section was worthless compared to a Chilton manual. Haynes is trying to cover 3 DECADES (30 years) of the Dodge vans in one publication. I read another similar review and took a chance. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I further went to ebay and did purchase an owners manual for my van which I expect to have more vital information than the entire Haynes manual. The Amazon price was fair, but the manual was worth about FIVE BUCKS in my opinion. Very disappointed in Haynes. I've bought Haynes for over 30 years and probably won't buy another.
