The list author says: "This is a list of the things I have personally, that I think will help me and whomever is with me survive when the stuff hits the fan. Im not adding footware or clothing, this is just the equipment that I think is relevant to self preservation. For weapons I have an M4 with 8 30 round mags, and roughly 2000 rounds at my home right now. For a secondary I carry my XD 9, I have close to 500 rounds for that with 3 15 round mags, a few 18 round mags, and 2 10 round mags. Same goes for the XD 40 I have, which I keep in my pack as a back up. I would suggest having a pistol in 9, 40, and 45 so you have more options when looking for more ammo.Weapons disucssions always get heated, so ill say find out what works for you, and do that. I get ammo for my rifle from cheaperthandirt.com and i would suggest you get pistol ammo from wal mart. Check out my other list of apocolypse tac wear ( http://www.amazon.com/Apocolypse-Survival-Wear-on-the-assault/lm/RQMYM111QJC2S/ref=cm_lm_byauthor_title_full) Stay safe and get ready. See you out there."
"Instead of adding all the medic stuff individually, this is eaiser, Get gauze, quickclot, a few tourniquets, the israeli battle dressing is good, get the butterfly wound closure strips, rubber gloves, Triple antibiotic ointment packs, trama sheers, Molle Military Field Medic Surgical Instrument Kit, alchol prep pads, and what ever else you may need. and know how to use it"
"I have one that i "aquired" from the Marine corps but this would be a good bet for you. if you cant read maps get a road atlass and use with this so at least you know youre headed in the right direction."
"Get a good secondary bag so you and a friend can spread load the weight of all youre gear and ammo. And if youre friend is prepared as well, the grab a stranger off the street and offer him protection for his services as a pack mule"
