4.0 out of 5 stars Same Song or Different Tune?, July 16, 2002
This review is from: Does the Music Play Forever (Paperback)
Physicist Austin Green's world is radically different since an huge earthquake dropped California to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Arizona suddenly has ocean front property. But Austin Green is not satisfied with simply surviving. A greater event will soon occur with cataclysmic results and he is obsessed to know if mankind survives or goes extinct. So with the help of his son, they devise a plan to open a wormhole that will take them 200 years into the future to find out. They not only find out that mankind survives but has developed a fantastic utopian society. At the edges of this utopian society is a human fringe element who see no need for advancement. Austin and his son, Zoe, suddenly find themselves in the middle of a clash of ideologies. Tina Ancinec constructs a possible alternate future if man so chooses to follow the cosmic forces of the universe or face the consequences of blindly going his own way.
